Chapter 39

JJs POV

"I kissed someone who wasn't Grant" Kenna says

"You what?" I asked

"I know, I know and I didn't kiss them well, they kissed me and I kissed back, what do I do? Do I tell him?" She ask

"I'm well, who did you kiss?" I ask her and her face gets red and she plays with her fingers, she does it when she is nervous. It's something I noticed she does, also when she lies

"Okay you can't judge me and I don't know what this means okay?" She says and I nod

"I would never judge you" I say and she takes a deep breath

"Oakley.... Oakley is who I kissed" she says quietly

"You kissed Oakley?" I say and she nods

"She found out about the drugs and we were taking them next thing I knew she was kissing me and I kissed her back then you called" she says and I sigh, I mean does she tell Grant? I don't know

"Do I tell him?" She ask

"What did you tell Oakley?" I ask her

"I told her I was with Grant and I liked him a lot I might even love him and that I couldn't do that to him" she sighs

"I don't think I can tell you what to do here, if you don't tell him and you don't do it again. There is not a right to plan here, if you tell him what's going to change?" I ask

"I don't want to tell him, I don't want him to look at Oakley different, I'm not going to do it again" she says and I nod

"You're smart and I know you will make the right decision" I say and pull her into a hug

"Thank you Momma" she says and I kiss her head

"You're welcome babes" I say

"Now come help me with dinner" I say and she groans

"But you know I got my cooking skills from Mom, I can't do it" she chuckles

"That's why I am here to make sure you don't burn the house down" I smile and she playfully rolls her eyes

"Oh come on" I say and drag her into the kitchen,

We just made something simple enough to pop in the oven and sat down on a barstool while we waited for it to be done

"Will they catch the guy who killed mom?" Kenna ask me

"They will. I think last Derek told me they were monitoring activity is Mexico along with Interpol" I say

"It's taking forever" she says

"Yea I know, but they will get him, they always do" I say and she nods

"Can we go to the office tomorrow?" She ask

"For what?" I ask

"I don't know, I want to see Spence and Derek and everyone" she says, I haven't been back since Emily died,

"I'll see okay? I don't have the rights to just walk in anymore and you have school" I say and she nods,

I guess I'll call Hotch later or something,

We talk a little more about school and all until the timer goes off and I get the dish out of the oven and let it cool before we ate,

After dinner we both went out separate ways so we could get ready for bed, I also emailed Hotch to see if they were busy tomorrow and he said no so Kenna and I would stop In after school, I'm definitely not looking forward to it though,

I finished my shower, through on some sweats and  a t-shirt and put my hair in a bun before sitting down in bed to read a little, I was reading when I got a notification on my phone and when I checked it, it was a memory with Emily, we were at the park down town, it was our favorite place to go,

I quickly got up an slipped a sweatshirt on before going to Kenna's room,

"Get dressed" I say, she was in her pajamas on her phone

"I am?" She says

"Put a jacket on and come on" I say and she gets up and gets her jacket on and we get in the car

"Where we going?" She ask me,

"Where your mother and I were a year ago"'I say and she nods

A little drive and we pull up to the park,

"You guys were here?" She ask

"Yea, we came here a lot" I smile and we both go and sit on one of the benches

"It's pretty" she says

"It sure is" I smile

We sat there for around half an hour just talking, and admiring the view before we left to go back home,

"Thank you for taking me there" kenna tells me after we were back in her room

"Well thank you for coming" I smile

"I didn't have a choice" she chuckles

"But it was nice" she smiles

" Yea it was" I say and she gets under the covers

"Goodnight babes" I say

"Goodnight Momma" she says and I cut her light out and close the door heading to my room.

I went through a few more pictures of Emily and I, also a year ago tomorrow would have been when I wore her "special" panties in the restaurant, it was so embarrassing but I love her and did it, I would do it again if she were here

I really do hope the team can catch the son of a bitch who took her from us,

Instead of getting caught up in my feelings I decided to just head to bed, after all we do have a big day tomorrow
