Chapter 11

JJs POV

I have been spending a lot of time with Kenna and Emily, I am certain that I love her especially since that day I almost said it, but I just haven't said it yet. Kenna and I have gotten close too, the day before we had to leave we went and got our nails done, the gala is next month and I'm super nervous about that though,

It's Saturday and We just got back from a case In Arizona and Hotch pulled Emily away from the rest of the team into his office which seems to be a pretty important discussion, I guess I didn't realize myself staring until Garcia came over

"I'm sure your girlfriend is just fine" she says

"Pen she is not my girlfriend we are just friends" I tell her, it's not that I don't want the team knowing it's just I have never had to come out to anyone

"JJ I totally caught you guys in your office" she snickers

"Fine but you can't say anything please" I tell her

"Of course sugarplum I wouldn't without your permission" she says and before I can reply my phone starts ringing, I look down and see it's from Kenna,

"Hey I need to take this" I say walking outside

"Kenna is everything okay?"

"Are you with my mom?"

"She is in a meeting with our boss, are you okay?"

"Can you do me a favor and bring me some tampons? Mom was supposed to get them"

"Yea hun I'm leaving work now"

"Thank You!"

"You're welcome"

I walk back inside to tell the team I was leaving but would be back and left to go to the store, after I got everything I made my way to Emily's house

"Kenna, I'm here" I say walking inside

"Thank you!!" She says grabbing the bag from me and going back upstairs

I chuckle to myself and grab a coffee from the fridge and Kenna comes back down not too long after

"Thank you JJ" she says giving me a hug with her cheeks a little red

"You're welcome love, if you ever need anything please call" I smile and she nods

"What's up with my mom?" She ask grabbing fruit out of the bowl

"What do you mean?" I say sitting down next to her

"I don't know, she has been kind of distant lately and you said she had that thing with her boss" she says, and come to think of it Emily has been kind of distant, I mean of course we still hang out and all but it's not like it was,

"I don't know," I frown " I'm not even sure what the meeting was, when we got back from Arizona they went into the office" I tell her

"I'm really sorry but I got to get back to work" I tell her and she frowns

"Can I come?" She ask

"Yea I don't see why not, we have a lot of paperwork though so you might get bored" I tell her and she smiles

"It's okay I'll have my phone, I need to run upstairs and I'll be back" she says going upstairs, when she gets back we load up in my car and head back to the office,

Emily isn't with Hotch anymore but talking to Derek when we walk in

"Kenna? What are you doing here? Are you okay?" She ask Kenna standing next to me
