Emily's POV

A month later and married life has been treating us well, I love being able to call Jennifer my wife. Kenna wanted to wait on asking her to adopt her and I supper her decision with it, I want her to be comfortable when and if she does ask,

Jennifer also took my last name, she goes by Prentiss with everything besides work she still goes by Jareau so it's not confusing, we were both laying on bed now as we had the day off and we are going on our honeymoon next month, yes we originally planned for right after New Years but then we had case after case so we are going during Valentines,

"Good morning" she says and rolls over to face me

"Good morning" I yawn and then Kenna comes in our room

"We could have been naked" I joke and her face gets red

"One, Ew after Hawaii I'm scarred for life so keep your clothes on, second GrantandIhavebeendatingsincethe4thofjulyandIwantyoutoknow" she says very quickly

"Okay say that last part again but slowly" I chuckle

"Grant and I have been dating since the 4th of July party at Rossi's and I thought now is a good time to tell you" she says and runs out

"Did you know?" I ask JJ shocked

"I actually believed her when she said they were just friends" she laughs

"I'm so confused" I laugh

"Why didn't she tell us" I say

"I don't know" she replies

"Yea, but why now? Like out of no where" I wonder

"Maybe since he is coming over today" she reminds me

"Yea maybe" I say and open my arms so JJ could lay in them,

"I love when we have days off" she says

"Because you like to sleep?" I chuckle

"Well that and I like just laying here with you" she says and I kiss the top of her head

"Well I like laying here with you too" I smile, we lay in bed for a little while watching Tv before getting up and I go to shower

"Are you coming?" I ask her

"Hmm? No you go" she says and I raise my eyebrow

"Are you sure?" I ask and she nods

"I'm sure, go shower you smell" she laughs

"What!? I do not" I defend myself walking into the bathroom

JJ's POV

I let Emily shower by herself so I could talk to Kenna

"Can I come in?" I ask knocking on her door

"Yes" she says and I walk in sitting down on her bed next to her

"Are you okay?" I ask her and she nods

"Yea why wouldn't I be?" She ask

"You got out of the room pretty quickly after you mentioned you and Grant" I say

"Why didn't you tell us sooner?" I ask

"Because I didn't want you guys looking at him like my boyfriend instead of my friend because then mom would have been more protective" she says and I nod

"So why tell us now?" I ask

"Well I can't just kiss my friend in front of my mom" she laughs

"Very true" I smile
