Chapter 30

JJ's POV

We decided on a winter wedding, we are getting married December 23rd just two days before Christmas,

It's October now Emily turned 31 and Kenna turned 16 last month, and is loving school,  I'm glad she got to go with her friends,

We have everything planned for our wedding besides our outfit and who is going to be in it with us,

Emily plans on wearing a suit and I and going dress shopping with Pen today,  she is my Maid of Honor and Kenna is Emily's best "man" or what ever you want to call it along with Derek and Spencer, Beth is also going to stand with me, we have gotten closer, she comes with Pen and I when we do a girls day sometimes and Jack will have the rings

I was meeting Pen in an hour and we were heading dress shopping along with my mom and Beth,

"You're finally here!" Pen chuckles as I get out of the car

"And the party don't start till I walk in" I laugh and we all go into the bridal shop

"Are you nervous?" My mom ask me and I nod

"Very" I reply

"Don't be, Emily loves you" she says and I smile thinking of my soon to be wife,

I try on the first dress and I liked it but I didn't like the train

The second one I loved, it was off the shoulder and went down to my elbows and had a train that wasn't too long but wasn't to short and the front had Diamonds on it,

I tried on one more to be safe and I definitely liked the second one better so that's the one I got

"It's a beautiful dress" Beth comments

"It looks wonderful Jenny" my mom says

"Emily is a lucky women" Pen says and I smile at their compliments

"Thank you all, and whose up for lunch?" I ask and we all agree to go get some before heading back to our house. Only my mom came down from Pennsylvania but both my parents would be here for the wedding along with Emily's ,

"You're going to make a gorgeous bride" my mom says and I smile giving her a hug

Kenna's POV

I just turned 16, really isn't a difference but I get my license soon so that's a plus, the wedding is in two months and I'm so excited! I didn't ever think this day would come for my mom, she never dated or if she did I never met them, I was also thinking how things would change. Like do I have to call JJ mom now? I think that's just a little weird, I have had one mom my entire life and now I have a what? Step mom? I don't know it just seems weird

I do want to talk to my mom about a present I want to give JJ,  when she marries my mom I want her to legally adopt me, only if she wants, in this case if anything were to happen to my mom I would be with JJ and she would legally be my parent.

I walked down to my moms office where she was looking at suits for the wedding and walked in

"Hey babes"

"Hey, how's it going?" I ask

"Good, I found one I liked I go in two days to get it fitted" she tells me

"That's good, also I have a question" I say

"Go on" she says turning around to face me

"When you and JJ get married can she adopt me if she wants too? You know like a wedding present or something?" I ask she smiles
