Chapter 69

Emily's POV

"Alight my BAU crime fighting friends. We have a case" Penelope tells us all. I was really hoping it would be a slow day today. We have a new agent joining us. Dr. Tara Lewis. Derek can't stay for ever and with Kate gone and JJ about to be gone we're goners  at this point. Today is her first day and I was hoping just to stay in office to help her settle. JJ is now just 3 weeks away from her due date, since she is going to be having our baby soon I don't like the idea of flying far away from her incase something  happens and I am in another state.

"What's the case?" Rossi asked

"I was just getting there" she says and points her clicker to the screen

"You are flying to New Mexico. A week ago Heather Burton was found lying in an alley near a hospital. She was repeatedly raped and tortured through a 3 day period" Garcia explained

"How do we know it was 3 days?" JJ ask

"That's what Heather told the police. She was barely Conscious when the police found her and rushed her to the hospital." Garcia continues

"Are there more victims?" I ask

"Yes. Rose Adams. The first victim, she had the same assault done to her and was found a week before Heather Now, a 31 year Layla McCoy has been reported missing from her fiancé this morning. She matches the other two girls and police called us In to help the girl" she explained

"Okay. Wheels up in 30" I say and everyone leaves

"I'll be back, I love you so much." I say giving Jennifer a kiss

"We'll be here, waiting on mommy" she smiles rubbing circles on her stomach

I took a deep breath and looked down at my wife and she gave me a soft smile

"What if you go into labor while I'm in New Mexico?" I ask

"We don't. But I'm not due for another 3 weeks. You guys are the best team out there and I know you'll take this guy down" she says and I smile. Always knowing what to say to make me feel better

"You have your go bag?" She ask

"Always" I smile and we walk down to my office

"Alright. This is where I leave you. Call me if anything changes. Even in the slightest" I tell her seriously

"I will. I promise and if I can't you know Pen will" she chuckles

"Good. I love you" I say giving her a hug

"I love you too" she says and kisses my lips and I take my bag following the rest of the team to the Jet.

We were about 1 hour to landing in New Mexico. She reported abuse on these women is horrible. The physical abuse alone but the mental one is going to haunt them for life

"When we land Spencer and Derek take the spot where she was found. Rossi, go to the station and set up and see what they know and I'll head to the hospital with Tara to see if I can talk to her" I say and everyone agrees

"FBI, we're looking for Heather Burton" I say so one of the nurses, holding out my badge

"Right this way" she says and leads us down a hallway. We waited outside while the doctor was in there

"Hi, I'm Doctor Alvez." He says

"Special Agent Emily Prentiss and Dr.Lewis" I say introducing us
