Cassiopeia Black couldn't believe the shocking revelation that had come to light, hidden for two years. She walked alongside Draco Malfoy, heading towards the dungeons after dinner. With Draco being the prefect on duty for the night, she knew their time to talk in the common room would be limited.
"I still cannot believe that they hid that for two years," Cassiopeia complained, shaking her head in disbelief.
Draco shared her disappointment. "Same here, Cassie. Blaise could have at least told me."
Both of them had been close friends since their first year at Hogwarts, and yet they had remained completely unaware of the secret that had been kept from them.
"Cassie!!" Harry's voice rang out, interrupting their conversation. Cassiopeia and Draco halted in their tracks, turning to see Harry Potter approaching them.
Cassiopeia greeted Harry with a small smile. "Hello, Harry."
As Harry reached them, his gaze shifted to Draco, who responded with a scornful look. Tensions always seemed to run high whenever Harry and Draco crossed paths.
"May I speak to you for a moment?" Harry asked Cassiopeia politely, his eyes moving from Draco to her.
Draco couldn't resist a jab at Harry. "The last time you took her, you made her suffer, scarface. If you do the same this time, Potter, I will never hesitate to—"
Cassiopeia interrupted the brewing conflict. "Don't be dramatic, Draco. Why can't you two just get along? I'm fed up with these dramas. Be nice to him."
Draco responded with skepticism. "Why should I? He was the one who acted like a jerk in the first year."
Cassiopeia retorted, "Should I remind you of how you mocked Harry's friend, calling him a blood-traitor? Huh?"
Draco's defenses seemed to crumble under her scrutiny. "Why are you always defending others more than me? You always take his side."
Cassiopeia shook her head, her brows furrowed. "Did I? I'm just telling the truth. I'll get you two to get along before we graduate."
"NO!"
Both boys flatly refused her proposition in unison. Cassiopeia couldn't help but chuckle at their synchronized defiance. "Well, you two have the same attitude, so it should be easier for me to work on."
Draco gave her a resigned look. "Let's continue our chat if I can get into the common room before patrolling, alright?"
Cassiopeia nodded and gestured towards the corridor. "Alright."
After bidding Draco farewell, she walked alongside Harry, making their way to an empty classroom. Harry took a seat at the front desk, turning to face her, and Cassiopeia sat in a nearby chair, creating a comfortable distance.
"I hope you're alright," Harry began, breaking the silence. "Dumbledore told me everything, and I was really upset to hear about all the weight on your shoulders."
Cassiopeia was puzzled. "Everything? What do you mean?"
Harry cleared his throat, his discomfort evident. He seemed nervous, as though afraid of her reaction.
"Dumbledore explained about Tom Riddle and Cassiopeia Lestrange," Harry said, hesitatingly.
Cassiopeia gasped, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. The name Cassiopeia Lestrange brought back a chapter of her past she had hoped to leave behind. She couldn't help but feel anxious about her conversation with Harry. She worried about the conclusions he might draw, and the possibility that he might think she was a traitor.
