"Are you alright?" Braxton asked as Cassiopeia finished dinner at the Great Hall. He sat beside her, still eating. She nodded, humming softly as she gazed at her empty plate.

Cassiopeia's attention drifted to Tom, who sat across from her. Nott and Avery were laughing, sharing something with Tom, who occasionally rolled his eyes. Their eyes locked for a moment, but she quickly averted hers, focusing on her empty plate.

Braxton leaned in and spoke in an undertone, concern in his voice. "What's wrong with you two?"

Cassiopeia didn't look at him, instead, she tapped her fingers against the table. "An argument about blood status, and I just crossed the limit," she replied with a nonchalant shrug, her gaze shifting to the ring on her hand.

"It's been two weeks, and you two act like this," Braxton observed. "I noticed, but I didn't want to invade your relationship problems."

Cassiopeia managed a weak smile as she looked at him. "I know, right? Thank you for supporting us."

Braxton quickly clarified, "Not 'us,' it's only for you. I know you love him madly, and he does the same. I'm really impressed with the way he treats you, but now..."

"Hey, hey, Brax," she interjected before he could make any assumptions. "It's just an argument, and we will eventually work it out. Don't worry about it."

He nodded, reassured by her words. As she stood up to leave the Great Hall, Braxton looked up, still concerned. "I'm alright, brother," she assured him before making her way to the Slytherin Common Room.

Cassiopeia walked silently, the sound of her boots echoing on the stone floor. The lights were still bright, and the portraits showed people in various stages of slumber.

She wished Tom would come and talk to her. She had tried to approach him, but he had ignored her completely, even when they were partnered for a potion assignment by Slughorn. Suddenly, she heard another set of footsteps following her. She stopped in her tracks, and the sound stopped as well. She could sense someone standing behind her, and she hesitated, debating whether to turn around and see who it was.

With a fast-beating heart and trembling hands, Cassiopeia eventually turned around. "Merlin! Are you trying to give me a heart attack, Tom?" Her hand flew to her chest as she struggled to regain her composure. Tom chuckled, and she couldn't help but join in. She had missed his smile over the past two weeks.

"I'm sorry," he said, still looking at her. "For treating you rudely."

"That's alright, and I'm the one who should apologize," she said, disapproving of her own behavior. "You just ignored me, but it hurt, you know."

She shrugged and sighed heavily. Tom stepped closer to her, closing the gap between them. He leaned in close to her right ear, and she could feel the sensation as he spoke.

"I'm picturing us naked together right now," he whispered, causing her face to flush. Playfully, she pushed him away, giggling. He responded with a smug smile.

"You are salacious, Tom Marvolo Riddle," she said, tilting her head to the side.

"I would like to replace it with 'insatiable,' because I've missed you so much these past weeks," he quipped, raising an eyebrow.

"As far as I can remember, no one told you to ignore me," she teased, rolling her eyes. She took a step back and giggled as he furrowed his brow at her. "If you can catch me, you can do whatever you want with me tonight."

She winked and then ran off down the corridor. She sprinted for two or three minutes, but she didn't hear any footsteps following her. She stopped in an empty corridor, panting, just as the clock signaled curfew time.

"Damn it!" she muttered, and as she turned around, she half-expected Tom to be chasing her.

"Detention, Miss Lestrange," a familiar voice sounded from behind her, nearly startling her. Cassiopeia spun around to see Tom standing in front of her, a smirking expression on his face. "For being outside during curfew."

"Really, Riddle?" she quipped, moving closer to him. She leaned in close to his ear, standing on her tiptoes. "Is the detention in your dorm?"

Cassiopeia enjoyed teasing him, watching as he struggled to maintain his lascivious demeanor.

"No, but in the Prefects' Bathroom," he whispered into her ear before taking her hand and leading her there. Cassiopeia stepped into the Prefects' Bathroom and heard the door lock behind her. She looked around, observing her surroundings. This was her first time here. The bathroom was illuminated by a sumptuous chandelier filled with candles. The white marble-tiled floor surrounded a pool, and golden taps were positioned all around the edge. Long white curtains covered the windows, and fluffy towels lay in one corner.

Tom cast a few spells to lock the door and ensure their privacy. He approached her from behind, and she could feel his hands on her. She leaned her head back onto his shoulder, her hands finding his forearms. Her heart raced as she enjoyed his proximity.

"We can have a good bath together," he whispered into her ear, sending goosebumps across her body. He turned on the taps, and water began to flow into the pool. "Get ready, angel."

Tom released her and removed his robe.
