CHAPTER 79: FAMILY

At the dinner table both the ladies sat on each side of Sidharth... Rita ji watched how Sidharth and Shehnaaz sat close and was having chat about how they did without her... They were telling her everything they did... She noticed Sidharth more... How he was talking so much, he was laughing at Shehnaaz's jokes... How he was constantly filling up the glasses while eating and laughing... He never talked while eating... And now!!! She was surprised out of her mind when he took all the dishes to the sink following Shehnaaz there, when she put all the left food in the fridge... Coming back with two filled water bottle... So domesticated of him... They didn't let her do anything... When she was about to leave for her room, he gave her one bottle... Shehnaaz came and put her hand around his elbow,, holding him... Sidharth didn't react to it like it was new, instead he stood closer to her... Like it was the most natural thing for them... She felt her heart filling with contentment... She just looked at them with her moist eyes... The fear of her son's lonely life was long gone... Shehnaaz is turning her son at his best version...

At night. In her room, Rita ji took the photo frame of her husband in her hand...

"Ashok, hamara beta akela nehi rahega... He got himself the best life partner he could ever get... I think you're happier now... Getting all our child settle in life was our dream, right... You left all the pressure on me and left... But I don't blame you anymore... Our son is happy now... Par main abhi bhi gussa hu aapse... Itni jaldi janeke liye... Mujhe akela karne ke liye... I miss you Ashok... Aap yaha hote toh bohut khush hote" she talked with her husband's frame with her heart open...

At their room Sidharth was in bed and Shehnaaz was removing her earrings and put them in the dressing table and came towards the bed... Sidharth spread his hands out for her... Shehnaaz climbed the bed and got in there... He tucked them both inside his gray duvet then spooned her tightly in his hold... Shehnaaz turned her head to him and saw a smile leapt in his face...

"You are smiling and happy because Mom's back??" She asked... He looked at her face and said

"Yeah, of course for that too... But I'm happy in life... For the very first time I'm happy and content in my life..." He kissed her on forehead... "I feel like I have everything in my life... I never felt like this before... Mom and You!!! You both are everything for me... You both are my life..." Sidharth said squeezing her with a happy smile... Shehnaaz felt flattered in her heart too... He consider her as important as his mother... Shehnaaz know how much he loves his mom... Since they started coming closer, He never said he loved her... Nor did Shehnaaz... Not that it was needed... When actions screams, you don't need to listen to words... But now!! When he told her that she and his mom are his life,, isn't this enough... Enough to know his feelings for her...

She turned and faced him... Sidharth held her on her back... She traced his cheek by her finger... She looked at him differently... It wasn't that look when she always kisses him at night tracing her fingers like that... Her eyes had unspoken words... He looked at her more closely,, trying to read her...

"Are you sure??" is what she could uttered after a long time battling with her own questions in mind... He knitted his brows and asked

"About what?" he saw something different in her eyes... He was scared for a moment thinking how he had asked for a chance for her and she didn't said anything after that... Though she had answered trough her actions hundreds of time... But her questioning him about surety just after he said she and his mother is his life was scary... Wasn't she sure about him... He hoped it wasn't what he scare for...

"About all that you just said... Of course Ma but Me, being your life.." she didn't move her eyes even for a second nor did she blink... Sidharth cupped her cheeks and said

"Of course... You are!!! You are someone I can't loose... I don't have much people in my life... You know that... But you and Mom are everything for me... Now... I think.... I think I can't do... Without..." he stopped for a moment... Is that okay to feel and behave so vulnerable before a girl... Shit!!! She is not just any girl... She is his wife, his life... But saying all this is so awkward... He said... "I don't know... I mean I know I suck at words..." he sighed and looked at the ceiling... He felt like he can't just say his feelings out properly... He is not a person to say all that... He never said anything to anyone like that... But he had no idea his words were creating a storm in her heart...

She brought his face back again to face her...

"Say it..." she wanted to hear... He thought he wasn't making sense but oblivious to him, Shehnaaz could understand every unspoken and half spoken words of him... After all these month staying with him she knows him at least this much to know him that he doesn't talk it out... He just shows it through his actions... So hearing him saying all that was so incomprehensible... She was all ear to hear him... Her heart wanted it...

Sidharth knew her eyes were something else today... Like she was searching something in his eyes... And now she wants him to say... So he had to... He decided to fill every void,, every emptiness... To answer every unspoken question of hers...

"That night when I behaved so wrong, said all those and you were leaving me.... I lost it... I felt like my world came crushing towards me... To collapse over me... I felt my heart stopped beating... I felt choked... I never felt like this ever in my life... Not for anyone... I felt if I let you go, I couldn't have you ever... And a life without you... I don't want it... I know how it felt and I don't want it... So I knew it... I just knew it... Not now not ever... I just can't... Can't let you go..."

Shehnaaz's heart was in her mouth... If this isn't the confession of his heart then what it is!!! She was all ear to hear him more and more... She wanted to say that she feels the same... She found a home in him... A belonging... A family... Something she always wanted but never got... Before him... A person to call her own... He has become that... Her husband... Her Sidharth... She had overwhelming feeling in her heart... Suddenly she felt,, her heart which is beating this fast,, is because of him... Her heart is beating for him... Only for him...

But the next moment he said...

"You are my home Shehnaaz... My family..." That just broke every ounce of patience and she pulled him down and kissed him... To show how much she needed to hear it... How much she loved hearing it!!! A family... Isn't this she has always been deprive of??? A home,,, that she can call her own... There she found it all in him... He said she is his home but she also found her home in him... Her husband,, her family,, a safe place to lean on... To trust, to cherish!!!!

Other side of their newly found love nest there were something they had no idea about...

"Hello Ma'am... I haven't got the next payment yet... I have already given you her Ngo's address and timing when she is not around Sidharth sir... I can't help you if you don't help me" Paras,,, the driver showed his true color and became a parrot who speaks only if paid enough...

"You already send it... Oh okay I will check... Yeah, yeah... Of course I know their schedule and all... After 9:30 she will be alone. Sidharth sir will drop her and will straight head to the hospital... She stays there till 8..."
