CHAPTER 101: THE COLD BED

Shehnaaz is not talking to Sidharth after that incident... Actually she is!! But only where it needed... She couldn't take his weird behavior any longer... First he said though not to her that he loves her... She is his wife... His eyes always shows their need for her... His body reacting exactly how it should... Then where's the problem... More than getting angry she felt frustrated that moment and later refused... Yes, she felt refused... She couldn't take it any longer that her husband just runs away in those moment... Despite she felt wanted by his eyes, she felt refused by his action... She regretted the moment she went far with the flow... Yes, regret!! As she feel embarrassed now... Embarrassed, because it comes naturally when you do something like this, which haven't well taken or reciprocated...

They come back home around 9... Got freshen up and came to dinner table... All the while Shehnaaz not looking at him and Sidharth starring at her like a guilty puppy wanting her to leave a glance at him... She however didn't... Girls sometimes gets rude and arrogant in such situation naturally... They only knows this way to live with these kind of embarrassment... For clearing the fact, she never once behaved badly with him... Never shouted, or did something to show anger... Because she wasn't angry... She was just saving herself for the further embarrassment... She just couldn't look into his eyes...

Though it started with blaming him mentally as she found no reasons for his denial but slowly and slowly it turned into guilt of her own for doing that... The last day when it was anger and frustration, it came to guilt of going far and embarrassment of not getting reciprocation... It's totally okay if someone doesn't want to have it... It's their choice... No one can force themselves on someone... She was having this things in her mind... She felt guilty of getting herself in a situation where she said what she wanted, still not getting well reciprocation... She was actually now saving herself from more embarrassment...

In the dining... All were eating and talking a little...

"Pasta is Shehnaaz's favorite, no!" saying so he brought the bowl of pasta near Sana's plate... She just gave a small smile of courtesy... He saw that look on her... He knows why!!! So he didn't push it much...

"Mere bacche ke liye hi toh banaya hain!!" Rita ma said giving a warm motherly smile to Shehnaaz...

After dinner Shehnaaz sat with her talking and listening to her about nothing in particular... It was late at night... They haven't finished yet... Sidharth already came to see 2/3 times why she wasn't coming to the room but found them very busy talking about this and that... One time he came to hear his mother says about her young age... The next time heard them gossiping about some fashion model and celebrities... The third time what he heard he couldn't even believe... They were talking about Tom and Jerry cartoon... Shehnaaz was telling how much her children on the Ngo loves this... And his mother was so interested in the topic...

On the fourth time he come and saw Shehnaaz almost sleepy with her head on his mom's shoulder... He couldn't believe they were still talking like that... Why isn't she coming to the room and sleep if she is feeling sleepy??

"Mom. Did you take your medicines?" he asked to step into their conversation which was now leading by his mom...

"Yes,, I took it.." She smiled at her son...

"Then why don't you get rest... I'm watching you are working more than regular these days... Just tell the help to come one more time from next..." like a good son he noticed all... Rita ma smiled and said okay as there were no point arguing with him in this matter...

"Go and sleep mom.. You need rest.." he said eyeing Shehnaaz who just straightened her head with a start

"Ma, Main bhi so jayu aap ke pass" Shehnaaz was looking at his mom... Rita ma was a little surprised but then she thought Shehnaaz must be missing the motherly warmth that's why she is asking it... Sidharth eyes were wide opened... Why the hell she will sleep with her... He just looked at Sana with a shocked and pleading eyes to not to go... But she never looked at him...

"Kyun nehi baccha... Aaja.." She said and stood up taking Shehnaaz with her... He just stood dumb and saw Shehnaaz going with his mom and entering her room...

It was late at night... Way past of his bed time but he couldn't sleep... The bed felt cold... He faces her side which is empty... He doesn't like this emptiness... If she was here, she would have slept placing her head on his chest... Like she does always... His mind wasn't stopping working... Like the over thinker he was!!!

'Is she angry?? That's why she went to sleep with mom... But I have seen her anger... It's not anger...' He cursed him when he remembered the moment when she even said she wanted him but he decided to react otherwise...

"I'm already yours' he said after that and gave a sweet peak to her lips to end the situation... He felt frustrated with his own behavior... He played so dumb like he actually didn't get what she meant...

'She must be angry with me... She should be... I'm a stupid dumbass... I shouldn't have done that... What if she is hurt??? I fear her hurt more than her anger... She has every fucking reason to get disappointed on me... Wasn't that natural to feel... Like I felt too... She even said it out... But I choose to react like an idiot...'

When it was impossible for him to handle it anymore he got up from the bed... He got out from his room and pushed the door of his mom's room... It was open...
