"That side of Vien
makes her look more alluring"
---
"Hanjiii" Vien greeted the perky brunette as she came all geared up
Hanji rushed to Vien, who was just using the microscope on the crystal both of them researched about on
The doctor spoke, "I compared a stone collected from the walls and the crystal, and they somehow resemble each other. Take a look"
Upon excitement, Hanji looked into the scope carefully. Whilst they were focused on the specimens, a man behind them chided loudly
"Squad Leader can't that wait? We have to leave this building in a few minutes!!!!" There was a panicking Moblit, who was carrying a disarrayed stack of papers
"I'll continue looking into it Hanji, try listing your thoughts so we can discuss them during the trip"
Hanji slowly scooted away from the microscope, and walked outside the library to find a pen. Hanji bumped into someone and began talking, but Vien confined her whole mind into the specimen under the scope so she didn't hear anything on what they conversed
Hanji left the room, and the person stared at the focused doctor who was leaning into the microscope
"Oi" He broke the silence and called in an austere manner
Vien mumbled "Hanji, can the wall titans produce this material too? It's been on my mind for a while"
"Are you planning to stare at rocks for the rest of the evening, doctor?"
What? She diverted her attention from the tool and faced towards the door. The second her eyes fell on the Captain, her arm twitched but luckily her expression didn't change otherwise she'd freak out
It felt a long time ever since she'd stare at those flat yet deep eyes of him. And the same applied to him, thus the two spent a whole minute in silence. But she snapped out of his gaze and cleared her throat
The Captain still stared at her, so she saluted him in a torpid way, and avoided eye contact as she began to exit the room. She just passed by him when Levi spoke
"How have you been?"
Levi then slowly looked over his shoulder, which made her halt from walking away any further
Vien chuckled quietly "Eren and the rest must be waiting for us Captain, we shouldn't fall behind"
---
"I'm sorry I kept you waiting" Vien skipped to the wagon all geared up, and smiled at the cadets as she sat beside Mikasa on the leftmost side
A dull looking, but formal dressed Captain approached not far from behind her. The conversations in their wagon ceased when he came
Vien turned to Levi confusedly when he sat just right across her, and he immediately caught her in a brief gaze. He raised a brow without saying a word, which made her realize that he caught her staring. She looked away and averted her attention to Hanji
"Oh Hanji, here's the rock fragment by the way. We can talk about it when we get free time" Vien passed the hard crystal to Hanji
Armin asked in an unsure voice
"Uhm, why did you bring a priest from the Church of the Walls?"
