"Yes Dr. Vien, it is funny to me"

Levi let go of her, and went down the wagon to help the fallen priest

Vien sensed the stares the people gave her but she didn't look up, but hung her head low instead. I know my abruptness had always made me embarrass myself in front of him, but why in front of all these people?

When all of them were called to gather by a scout, Vien cursed herself internally before inserting into the crowd. Someone suddenly swung their arm around her shoulder so she quickly turned around, but she calmed down when it was one of her friends

Jean smirked "Well Dr. Vien, mind explaining what was going on?"

"Don't make me feel any worse, my noon as of now is already ruined"

"Come on Doctor" He drawled "You got away from yelling at Lance Corporal, not an everyday sight"

Vien sighed "Jean, if he didn't get mad at me for that then I'm sure it's the same with others as well. It's nothing too special to dwell on"

"Is holding other people's chin a normal thing for him as well?"

"Do you wanna give it a go then?"

Jean let go and chuckled "Unless I'd want to pass away, I'd never plan of doing it to Lance Corporal Levi"

"Should I schedule an appointment later?" She teased to scare him off

When he immediately left her side, Vien chuckled at his actions. Then finally averted her attention to the cadets who were reporting in front

Vien gasped when Sasha was there, and she was way beyond thirsty

The scouts finished reporting and turned out, three cadets were titans. Vien waited for any news about their condition, and even though hearing Hanji was there, she was still worried after they said the elite scouts were too late

Upon dispersion of the crowd, Vien immediately rushed to Erwin and spoke "Erwin, what are you planning to do? You'll go right?"

He nodded without eye contact, as he replied "Yes. We're bringing lifts and as much horses as we can to their location as soon as possible"

Vien sighed in relief, and pleaded him "Erwin, let me come with you"

After hearing her words, Erwin stopped walking and turned to her with an expression of concern

"Vien? You're staying here, where we're going is deep into those walls. It's titan infested there"

"No." She argued sternly "Erwin, we've played in those huge fields for years when we were kids. No one knows the place more than us"

He held both her arms and tried to convince her as much as he could

"Vien, the play ground it used to be is now a gate to hell. You don't know how dangerous it is there"

However his sister's expression didn't change, and her intentions remained the same. Vien held his arms down and glared at Erwin

"The more dangerous you describe it to be, the more you make me want to see Eren and the rest. I don't want to lose comrades again"

He shook her shoulders "Vien are you out of your mind? We've lost so many people out there today"

"Erwin!" Vien yelled to stop him from panicking "Am I really that unreliable to you? Stop worrying, did you forget that I'll be 30 soon?"

Erwin's grip on her shoulders loosened, and her words got through him "Wait, Vien I don't-"

"Then let me come with you Erwin"

It took a few moments of silence before he cursed under his breath

He looked at me, and agreed "Fine, change to your uniform and gear up in 10 minutes. You're riding behind my triangle, understood?"

Vien smiled widely and saluted him perkily "Yes Commander!"

Erwin stared at her running figure. It was full of proudness, yet worry

---

"Oi, you" Levi called Nick "Have you seen the brat anywhere? She's supposed to be watching over you while I make some afternoon tea"

Nick looked around, but it was too crowded from the scouts who were busy preparing for the expedition

"N-no, but why aren't you joining the expedition Lance Corporal?"

Levi glanced at his foot, "My damn injury's keeping me from doing any shit. Also, no one would be here to watch over you and Vien in case things would get out of hand"

"The doctor wouldn't join them?"

"Erwin obviously wouldn't let her go there" Levi said in a 'duh' tone

They watched as Erwin announced the signal to charge forward. When the troops left, the Captain looked around and surprisingly Vien was still nowhere to be found

A suspicion came across his mind, so he told some cadets to watch over Nick as he rushed back into the building. His ankle kept him from walking fast, but he ignored it

He approached one of the cadets near the rooms, and asked him

"Oi, have you brats seen a female doctor pass by around this place?"

They saluted Levi, before one of them was forced to reply to him

He asked unsurely, "W-which female doctor Lance Corporal?"

"She has long black hair with wispy bangs, carries a black handkerchief everywhere she goes" Levi boringly explained her appearance

The Captain raised a brow at him, waiting for a response. Being pressured, the cadet turned to his fellows and asked them for help

But one of them later whispered to him, though Levi could hear it

"I think he's talking about the lady who walked out of the changing rooms in her elite scout uniform"

"The 'gorgeous deity' you guys were just talking about? But she doesn't seem like a doctor in that uniform"

"What?" "Just tell Lance Corporal"

Levi's eyes squinted and he spoke more sternly when he heard them mention "a girl in scout uniform"

"What about the Survey Corps uniform?" He questioned them

"Well," The cadet stuttered "We did saw a girl with black hair and a handkerchief, but she was wearing the Survey Corps uniform so we weren't sure if she was a doctor"

Levi left them without a word, and rushed back to the location where Nick was being watched over. But when he arrived, Levi only saw the scenery of the pastor dozing off

He glanced around the area for one last time until he could conclude that Vien, joined the expedition

He scoffed "That unbelievable brat"
