"Don't call me angel, jerk"

Vien's POV

Luckily for today, I woke up not to the sound of rain, but the sound of birds chirping. The first thing I did was open the curtains, and let the sun rays hit my skin. The sun's temperature alone was enough to perk my senses for the day. It was just a normal training day, so I cleansed myself and wore my scout uniform, tying my hair high

After everything, I checked the clock before I left and saw that it was 5 mins past the start of training. My jaw dropped when I realized I overslept a bit today

My course to the Mess Hall was averted to the training grounds. Since I was already late, I decided to scratch breakfast off schedule

Running through numerous groups of cadets, I stopped right behind the Captain. He turned around when I saluted, "You're late Doctor"

"I overslept" I mumbled lowly

Levi tapped his foot on the area next to him, and averted back front to continue giving instructions. I stood next to him, and kept quiet

When the cadets were facing back, Levi asked "Where's your cast?"

"I took it off," I responded "Since I completely left my arm alone for more than a day, it healed quickly"

"Since you're here, would you mind filling in for a few minutes? I have an errand to take care of"

I only nodded in reply. Levi subtly patted my shoulder, before he went back inside the building. My attention averted to the cadets who were doing early morning pushups

When the cadets slowly noticed that Levi wasn't around, a few men on the side started slacking off. They were talking to each other, and some of them were stealing short, yet immodest glances at me

I sighed deeply, and stood up from the seat to walk over "Having fun?"

They seemed startled, but one of them had more nerve than the rest. He didn't show any signs of being intimidated, he was arguing back

"When Captain Levi takes over, we can't even sit still for at least a second. What else would we do when he's gone?" He retorted

I knelt down to his level, and I stared at him with a smile. But when I spoke, it faded in a second

"You know what's my life motto?"

He mumbled quietly "N-no"

"You can rest when you die. That's it, now that Captain isn't here, you and your friends want to rest. But unfortunately, he left me in charge. I know many kinds of ways to put people to rest, would you boys want to try it? For eternity that is"

I spoke in an innocent tone to keep it friendly, but they already knew what my intentions were. And that was to put them in their places. Because that was one thing I hated the most, being underestimated for my gender. Just because I was a girl, they don't see me as a soldier

"So, now do you still want to rest?"

The three boys started pushing and blaming each other. When they saw that I was still staring at them, they went back to position and pretended like nothing happened

"Mhm" I smiled "Captain surely shapes his cadets into good boys"

Levi came back to the training grounds with papers in hand. He approached them, and saw Vien scolding people for slacking off. She was making them do pushups with thick encyclopedias on their backs. They were clearly in pain
