"Tsk, long time no see"

Hanji's POV

"What was that sound? Was it lightning?" Questioned Floch

We were quietly travelling towards the forest where Zeke was being held in custody. And even though the strong rain lessened our line of vision, we were able to see a column of smoke coming from the opposite direction. I recognized it to be a thunder spear that blew up

I knew that Vien was the only one holding their weapons, so she must be there right now. What could've happened there? I hope it isn't bad

"If we head towards it, we'll learn something" I gently pull the reins of my horse and changed direction

We arrived on the exact spot, and the first thing we saw was the carthorse that blew into pieces. Shards of wood and puddles of blood were everywhere. No one was here except for an abnormal titan that looked too weak to move

However, a still body not far from our horses was there, senselessly sprawled on the ground. I hurriedly jumped down my horse and pulled the body out - it's Vien

My eyes widen, and it looked like she was caught in the explosion. Arms and legs covered in mud, and blood staining the her entire face. The back of her head was bleeding, so I took my jacket off and wrapped it around the wound

"Out of my way, I'll shoot her just in case she's alive" Floch comes from behind, pointing a gun at her

"It's no use, this girl's already dead"

I covered Vien's body, and placed it down a flat surface. Then looked for anyone else in the area. I saw another senseless body near the tall grass, and I recognized it to be Levi. He was also caught in the explosion like Vien, but his injuries were way more serious and fatal than hers. It looked like she wasn't in the carthorse the moment it exploded, only Levi was up there

His weak pulse could be felt when I pressed his wrist, but they would shoot him if I said he was alive. So I used his shredded organs as an excuse for his death. "He met an immediate death" I bluntly stated

Floch speaks in a disparaging tone

"Our biggest threat covered in his own blood, guess we're lucky now"

He was about to take Levi's pulse by himself, until something emerged from the titan's stomach. It was Zeke, and he didn't look injured at the slightest. Floch and the rest walks up towards the man

"You subdued all of those 30 Survey Corps scouts by turning them into titans?" I heard his voice from afar

What?! But how?? It's only possible if they drank Zeke's spinal fluid My eyes widen in shock But how come?

Zeke left with them, and only two Jaegerists were left to watch over us. It was hard to stop them from tossing Vien's and Levi's bodies away, but I knew I had to wait for the perfect moment to escape them

They finally agreed to let me keep their bodies, but they were kept right beside them while I stayed put from afar. Hours passed and I still wasn't able to check on them. If their injuries didn't get tended to quickly, it would only worsen. All my weapons were taken away too

---

The next morning, one of them went away for a while. Only one was left standing guard beside their bodies. My eyes caught a glimpse of Vien's mud stained bag behind the bushes, and I immediately knew she'd have weapons inside. I mean, she would even carry a pistol to the restroom
