Chapter 69: Thanos Is Back

Bucky's P.O.V

Once I wake up I see that I'm in the lower levels of the compound with Natasha and Wanda.

Natasha: James, are you okay babe?

I nod.

Bucky: I'm fine. Are you two okay?

They both nod.

Bucky: Good.

Nat then points a flashlight upwards.

Natasha: Steve! Y/N!

I look around and see the gauntlet on the ground, I go over and pick it up.

We then hear a noise and turn around.

Wanda shoots a ball of energy in the direction we were looking and we see a horde of those space dogs that we saw back in Wakanda.

Wanda: Oh shit.

Bucky: We've gotta run now come on!

We then start running with the space dogs chasing us.

Y/N's P.O.V

I wake up to see Tony shaking me.

Tony: Hey kid, wake up. You okay?

I sit up and deactivate my mask.

Y/N: Yeah, I'm good.

I then look over and see Cap's shield and get up to pick it up.

I look over to see Cap unconscious on the floor.

Tony goes over and kicks him.

Tony: Come on buddy wake up.

Steve wakes up.

Tony: That's my man.

Tony then helps Steve to his feet and I go over to them.

Y/N: You lose this thing again I'm keeping it.

He smiles.

Y/N: I'm just kidding.

I then hand him the shield.

Steve: What happened?

Tony: Well when you mess with time, it tends to mess back. You see, now come on.

Thr three of us go outside to see Thor looking down at Thanos.

Y/N: Really? Thanos is back, why can't it ever be easy?

Tony shrugs.

Tony: So, what's he been doing?

Thor: Absolutely nothing.

Steve: Where are the stones?

Y/N: If I had to guess the stones are somewhere under all this.

Tony: All we know is that he doesn't have 'em.

Steve: Then let's keep it that way.

Thor: You know that's a trap right?

Y/N: Yeah, but I don't really give shit.

Tony: Me neither.

Thor: Good, just as long as we're all in agreement.

Thor then summons both Mjölnir and Stormbreaker to him and suits up.

Thor: Let's kill him properly this time.

We all then walk down there and face Thanos.

Thanos: You couldn't live with your own failures and where did that bring you? It brought you to me. I thought be eliminating half of all life, the other half would thrive. But you've shown me that's not possible.

Y/N: Yeah, we're human and all kinds of stubborn.

He smirks at me.

Thanos: Thanks to all of you I know now what I must do. Once I have the stones you have collected for me I will shred this universe down to it last atom and create a new one, teeming with life. That no not what it has lost but what it has been given. A grateful universe.

Thanos stands and pulls his sword out of the ground.

Steve: A universe born out of blood.

Thanos: They'll never know it. Because you won't be alive to tell them.

Thor screams and Tony and go up in the air to attack Thanos.

Once I land on the ground Thor throws Mjölnir but Thanos knocks it away.

I manage to call Mjölnir to me and hit Thanos in the back of the head.

Pietro's P.O.V

I'm currently stuck in the Compound with Rhodey, Bruce and Rocket and the compound is filling up with water fast.

Bruce is helping us by holding up some concrete thay fell from above.

Bruce: Pietro, Rhodey, Rocket get out!

Rhodey looks to Rocket and I.

Rhodey: See you on the other side guys.

Pietro: Yep.

We then hear Scott over the comms.

Scott: Hold on! I'm coming!

Y/N's P.O.V

As we're fighting Thanos Thor passes Mjölnir to me and Tony lands infront of us.

Tony: Okay, Y/N, Thor hit me!

We both summons lighting and I combine the lighting with my Venom Blast to hit Tony's suit and that powers up his repulsor blast that hits Thanos.

I pass Mjölnir back to Thor and run at Thanos, but he grabs both Tony and I and let's us get hit by Mjölnir that was thrown by Thor.

This sends Tony and I flying and I black out briefly.

When I wake up again I see Cap fighting Thanos alone amd his shield is broken and he gets knocked back.

I jump up and hit Thanos in the head.

After a few minutes of fighting Thanos one on one and making some jokes to annoy him, he eventually grabs me by the throat and smashes me to the ground and holds me in the air.

Thanos: I'm going to squash you like the little bug you are.

Y/N: Well, actually spider's are technically classed as arachnids. So you'd be wrong in calling...

This angers him.

Thanos: Do you ever shut up?!!

He then throws me.

I struggle to get to my feet, but I manage it and I look to Thanos.

Y/N: Actually no, the fans expect a certain amount of quips in every fight.

He then throws his sword at me, but I jump over it.

I then run at Thanos but he hits me with a back hand, deactivating my mask in the process and sends me backwards and I land next to Cap.
