Emergency

Time seemed to have suddenly come to a standstill. An unsettling silence surrounded us. Those words hit me like a truck.

"M-My father...was in an accident?" My words came out in a whisper.

I pressed my hand against my mouth, trying to hold in a sob. My legs felt too weak to keep standing on its own. Finally, they gave away and I almost fell on my kness before Kiku caught a hold of me.

"Miss (Y/n), please calm down," Kiku said in a worried tone.

Warm tears started rolling down my cheeks as I couldn't hold in much longer and started sobbing with my face hidden behind my hands.

A wave of devastation fell upon me. Here I was enjoying myself, unaware that my father was in such a condition.

"B-But how...?" I looked up to see the two men who were surely staring at me behind those black shades.

"I'm sorry but we can't say everything here. We have been ordered to bring you back to your home as fast as possible," one of them said in a grave voice.

I wiped the tears off my eyes and gave a small nod. "Yes..."

"Oi, is everything okay there?"

We turned and saw the countries running up to us.

"What on Earth is going on here? (Y/n), are these men making you cry?" Arthur scowled.
"We were watching you all and wondering if you needed our help," Antonio looked worried.

I faced them and bowed.

"(Y-Y/n)?" Yao sounded taken aback.

"I'm sorry to worry you all. But I must return home this instant," I softly said.

"WHAT??" Everyone gasped.

"Bella, is everything alright?"
"But why, da?"
"Love, are you not feeling well?"

I stood up straight, my eyes welling up with tears again. "My father has been in an accident. I must go see him."

As if a wave of shock swept over all, everyone's face turned pale.

"(Y/n), is he okay? Did they take him to the hospital? What did the doctors say? And who are these guys?" Alfred bombarded me with questions after questions.

"Enough, America! Can't you see she's not in the condition to reply to all that?" Arthur interrupted him.
"Oh yeah, sorry," the blonde American apologized with a frown.

I shook my head. "I don't know much either but they have come to take me back home," I pointed towards the suited-men.

"...They have come to take you, aru?" Yao asked.

I nodded.

"Miss (Y/n), it's time to go now." The two men started heading towards a black car parked around the corner of the Cherry Blossom park.

"Umm, yes!" I called out to them, then turned back.

"I have to go now..."

The other countries frowned on hearing that. I gave a half-hearted smile. "When everything settles down, I'll come back to visit. I promise."

"You better, dudette! Take care of your dad!" Alfred cried out.
"Yes, I will. Thank you."

I was about to leave when I felt someone gently hold my wrist. I turned back and to my surprise found Kiku there.

"I...we will be waiting for you," he said.

My heart felt overwhelmed by his sweet gesture but I could only give back a smile and nodded. "I'll be back."

He let go of my hand and stood with the others as I left. I walked up to the car and stepped in through the door that was already opened for me. But before I went in, I looked back one last time.

Everyone was there, looking my way. Everyone...except Yao.

My eyes looked everywhere but I couldn't spot him.

With a heavy heart, I sat inside the car and the door closed. One of the two men sat at the driver's seat while the other next to me at the back. The engine started and I watched through the closed window the figures of my friends fading into the distance as the car moved on.

The countries watched the car disappear into the road.

"I hope everything's okay," Antonio said aloud.

"Hey!!"

They turned around to see Yao running towards them.

"Dude, where were you?! You missed saying goodbye to (Y/n)!" Alfred scolded him.

"(Y/n) already left, aru?!" Yao's face went pale.

"Yeah, why? What happened?"
"She...she..."
"Yeah?"

"She's in danger, aru! (Y/n) is in danger!!"
