Farewell

I packed my suitcase and took it downstairs. All the countries were waiting for me. I went up to them and bowed.

"Thank you for taking care of me for these past few days..."

"(Y/n), you don't have to do this," Ludwig said.
"Yeah, dudette! Don't go, please!" Alfred cried out, his face in a frown.

I shook my head. "If I stay...then it will only create more problems..."

"Ve~ Bella, are you seriously leaving?" Feliciano asked. His amber eyes were filled with tears.

"Yes, I am..."

They frowned. All of a sudden, Kiku stepped forward.

"I am very sorry, Miss (Y/n). Because of me‐"
"Thank you for being kind with me this entire time, Kiku," I interrupted him.
He sighed. "I am sorry..."

I turned towards the door but before leaving, my eyes searched for Yao. He wasn't there. Maybe he couldn't see me leaving...

With a heavy heart, I walked out of the mansion and sat in the car.

"Are we ready to leave, Miss?" the driver asked.
"Yes."

The car started. I looked at the Hetalia Mansion one last time before we drove past the gates.

I sat in my seat in silence. I could feel the tears forming in my eyes again but I let them fall anyway.

I was so happy when I came to this mansion. I made so many new friends, met so many great countries...But now, I am leaving all of them behind...

"It's all my fault...my fault...my ‐ "

The car suddenly stopped. I looked up.

"What happened?" I asked, wiping away my tears.
"Well, Miss...there's..." He looked ahead.

I followed his gaze. There was someone standing in front of the car.

Yao!

I got off the car and walked to him. "Yao! Where were you?"

"(Y/n), I won't let you go," he said.

"Yao, I can't..."
"I won't let you go, aru!"
"But ‐ "

He pulled me into a tight embrace as he started crying. "If you go, then I'll come with you, aru! You promised me that you will always be with me! You can't break your promise, aru!"

Yao...

I felt something crawl on my back. Yao's panda crept up my back and cuddled against my face.

"See? Even Panda wants you to stay, aru!" Yao cried.

Yao...Panda...They don't want me to leave...

"But if I stay then I'll cause more trouble for you all..."

"No one thinks that, aru!" Yao placed his hands over my shoulders and looked straight into my eyes. "Everyone wants you here, (Y/n)! Everyone loves you, aru! Even I lo‐" he stopped. A deep blush spread on his cheeks.

I looked at him, flushed. "W‐What are‐"

After a few moments of hesitancy, Yao suddenly burst out into a nervous laughter. "So it's set then! You are coming back to the mansion!" He took my hand and started walking.
"Wait, what? But what were you saying‐"
"Oh, nevermind that, aru! Let's go!"

He tried his best to change the topic while I kept on asking him about it. We spent the entire walk back to the mansion like that.

As we entered the mansion, we found everyone crying as if they were mourning over someone's death.

"She was such a nice girl..."
"We will never forget her..."
"Oh God! Why did you take her away from us??"

We sweatdropped.

"Uh, guys? I brought her back, aru!!" Yao announced.

They looked up. On seeing me, everyone's face lit up as they rushed towards me and pounced on me.

"(Y/n)!!"

I laughed nervously as I almost got crushed under their weight.

"Aiyah! Get off of her!!" Yao picked up each of them and threw them at different corners.

"You're back, (Y/n)! That's awesome!" Alfred held me by the shoulders and shook me back and forth.
"Just as awesome as me! Kesesesese!!" Gilbert joined in.

I felt dizzy as both the countries started shaking me until Yao came and knocked them out with his punches.

All the countries seemed happy on my return. I felt ashamed that I tried to leave them. Yao gently patted on my head and smiled at me.

"Don't leave us again, (Y/n)."

I smiled at him.

"By the way, Yao. What were you telling me back then?"
"W‐What?" I saw as his cheeks turned red again.
"You were saying that you ‐ "
"Forget about that, aru!"

I giggled as he blushed profusely. But...I was happy that I was with him.

...With him...?

I felt a warm feeling growing inside me as I looked at Yao. Why was I feeling like that...? Why...?
