It was late afternoon. Yao had gone to meet his boss with the files that we prepared together. He told me that all the countries had bosses who were actually the political leaders or heads for the nation. Even though the nations had power themselves, they defer to their bosses and can't interfere with the plans they make.

"Being a country is not an easy job," I thought to myself.

Having nothing to do, I found myself wandering in the corridor again. I thought about going to Kiku's room, but I feared that he would get bothered with me interfering in his privacy.

I sighed.

The chirping of the birds could be heard from outside while the sun rays entering through the large windows warmed up the place. I went up to one of the windows and gazed out. Some countries were playing soccer in the lawn. I spotted Alfred in one of the teams. He seemed to be a good player as no one was able to steal the ball from him. I watched them play.

"Hey ya! This year's furniture sale sky‐rocketed! The profit is huge!"
"Bro, you're annoying."
"Haha! This is great!"
"You're right about that. We've worked really hard this year. Right, Sve?"
"Hmm..."
"Yahooo!"

I heard voices from the room behind me. I walked up to the door and slightly opened it.

Five blonde men were seated around a table. I remember seeing them at the party but I did not get the chance to meet them.

"Okay then! Our next mission is to gain five times more profit! We'll show everyone what the Nordics can do!" the guy with the short spiky hair got up from his seat and declared.

Nordics?

"Hm? Sorry, but a troll is calling me, so..." the one with the dull blue orbs said as he closed his eyes.

A troll? Calling him? Nordics? Nothing could get inside my head. I stood there, confused.

"Hmm...I see...Okay, thank you for telling me..." The male opened his eyes. "Someone is eavesdropping on us," he told his companions.

I gasped.

They heard me and turned towards my direction. "Who are you? Show yourself!"

I opened the door and entered. I felt too embarrassed to look at them.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to eavesdrop. I heard your voices from outside so I came to see who it was."

"Hey! I know you!" The spiky‐haired male pointed at me.
"So do we, bro. She's (Y/n). We saw her yesterday..."

They stood up and greeted me.

"Nice to meet you, (Y/n)."
"It's a pleasure to meet you all," I smiled.

The five of them came up to me and introduced themselves one by one.

"Okay, guys! Let's show our guest the Nordic style of introduction! I'm Denmark!"
"Finland." The cheerful blonde waved.
"Norway."
"Sweden."
"..."

I looked at the other one who appeared to be a teenager. He looked away from me and did not say a word. I frowned. Does he not like me?

The Danish country laughed and put his arm around the younger nation. "Now, now, Iceland. No need to be so shy! She wants to be your friend!"

The teenager turned so that we couldn't see his face. "What do you mean I'm shy? I'm not."
"Then go talk to her."
"..."
"C'mon!"
"..."

Finland came to me and whispered in my ear. "Sorry, he is a bit shy of others."
"Oh, okay."

I looked over to Denmark trying his best to make Iceland talk. I giggled. But then, my heart told me that I should be the one to take the first step. So, I walked towards them and smiled.

"Hello, Iceland. It's nice to meet you. My name is (Y/n) and I hope we can become friends."

He did not turn to me but instead he slightly nodded. I was glad. "Thank you very much, Iceland!"
"Emil..."
"Excuse me?"

He finally faced me but averted his gaze.

"You can call me Emil..."

I felt joyous that he finally spoke to me. "Yes, I will! Thank you very much, Emil!"

"Hey! That's not fair! She doesn't know our names yet!" Denmark cried out. He turned to me. "I'm Mathias!"
"My name is Tino!" Finland smiled.
"Berwald," Sweden said bluntly.

"You can call me Lukas. And as for you..." The Norwegian man turned to Emil and crept up behind him. "You will call me 'big bro'."

Emil crossed his arms. "Why are you bringing that up now? You make no sense, I swear. I'm not saying it."
"Big bro..."
"Don't care."
"Big bro..."
"Not saying it."
"Big sis..."
"You're not making any sense."

We laughed. I was happy that I got to meet so many amazing countries. They all are different yet special in their own way.

As night set in, I went to see Yao in his room.

"(Y/n), aru!" He pounced on me and we both fell on the floor together. He looked very happy.
"Yao, did everything go well?"
"Of course, aru! With your help, nothing could go wrong! My boss even wants to meet you someday, aru!"

I was glad that I could be of help to Yao.

"(Y/n), you did so much for me today. I want to treat you to lunch tomorrow, aru," he said, helping me get up.
"Thank you very much, Yao. I would love it," I replied happily.

I'm sure tomorrow will be another wonderful day of my stay here.
