The park was located just behind the World Arcade. It covered a large area with lots of space for children to run around. Some people were even enjoying a picnic there.

Kiku and I took a stroll around the park, smiling and laughing. He asked me about my thoughts on the countries. I told him how much I liked them and enjoyed their company. He smiled on hearing my answer.

We passed by an ice‐cream stall where Kiku bought an ice‐cream for me. I thanked him and we continued walking.

All this time, I felt blessed to have Kiku by my side. His presence made me feel happy and shy at the same time. I couldn't believed how fortunate I was to experience this kind of feeling.

The sun was setting down behind the trees. We came by a pond and stopped to gaze at the sunset. The golden light painted the clouds in an exquisite shade.

"It is beautiful, isn't it, Miss (Y/n)?" Kiku said, his eyes on the beautiful scenery.
"Y‐Yes, it is..." I said, blushing.

Now was the chance.

I turned to Kiku. "U‐Umm...Kiku?"
He looked at me.

"Yes, Miss (Y/n)?"

I felt nervous. It was as if a burning feeling inside of me made me shiver from outside. But I had to do this...It's now or never!

I took out the box of chocolates from my bag and holding it out, I bowed.

"I‐I love you, Kiku!"

Silence.

"I have always loved you, Kiku. From my heart! Please accept my feelings!" I said out whatever was in my heart.

There was still silence. Kiku did not respond. Finally, he bowed before me.

"I'm sorry, Miss (Y/n). But I can't accept your feelings."

My ears deafened as I heard a crushing sound. I realized that they were nothing but my hopes and dreams that crumbled. I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces as the arrow of rejection struck it hard.

I did not lift my head up. I remained like that for a few moments before speaking up.

"I...see. I'm very sorry for wasting your time, Kiku."

I finally raised my head but did not look at him. I turned around and started walking.

"I'm sorry, Miss (Y/n)..."

I didn't know where I was going. My legs moved on its own and my mind wasn't able to think straight. All I knew was that...Kiku rejected me.

As I walked, I passed by large gates. I still didn't know where I was till I reached a door. I stood there for sometime without opening it. As if my mind was playing tricks on me, I heard my name being taken from the other side. Suddenly, the door opened.

"Aiyah, where is (Y/n)?! I ‐ "

I looked up to see Yao staring at me in astonishment.

"(Y‐Y/n)? What took you so long, aru? I was worried for you!" he cried.
I did not answer.

"(Y/n)? You were supposed to give those chocolates to Japan and confess to him, aru. What happened?"

I looked at the chocolate box that I held in my hand. My grip went tighter as I couldn't control my emotions. Tears started welling up in my eyes.

"(Y/n), wh‐ "

I fell into Yao's arms, crying. I could not hold in the tears for much longer. I cried my heart out. Yao pulled me closer to him as his arms tightened around me.

"Japan...I won't forgive you, aru!"
