I was taken by surprise, not expecting Kiku to visit me at this time.

The Japanese nation offered me a subtle smile as he stood at the doorway.

"I'm very sorry to disturb you, Miss (Y/n)," he bowed.
"It's alright, Kiku. Please don't worry. Would you like to come in?" I asked him. But he shook his head.

"I heard that you and Mr. China were going to visit his country soon."

Come to think of it, Kiku was with us in the living room but never spoke a word about it that time. But now he's here. I wonder why?

"That's right," I answered.

I noticed a slight change in his expression for a second. Was it...discomfort?

Kiku quickly resumed his calm compoure. "I see, Miss (Y/n). I hope you have a good time there," he offered me his warm wishes.

Something felt odd. It was as if Kiku was forcing himself to say all this. His eyes, which normally shone brightly when he was being sincere, looked empty.

"T-Thank you..." I smiled nervously, not knowing what his intentions were.

"Oh and I brought this for you," he took something out of his pocket and handed it too me.

A Japanese amulet.

I stared at it in awe. It was almost the same as the one I had for years. Carefully taking it, I smiled in content as I gently caressed it.

"It's beautiful, Kiku. Thank you so much," I said, his gesture touching my heart.

"I'm happy that you liked it, Miss (Y/n). This is a good luck charm. I wish for happy days on your way." He offered me a gentle smile.

Maybe I was wrong. Kiku may be hard to read, but he is a kind-hearted person. I was over-thinking it probably.

We talked some more for a bit till he had to take his leave and headed towards his room.

Closing the door, I went to keep the new amulet with the old one. I smiled, looking at them together.

With the night growing long, I headed to bed.

The next day, after I took a shower, I decided to pack my luggages beforehand. I took out my suitcase and started packing my clothes and other stuff. After everything was done, I went to fetch my flight tickets in my drawer.

"Hmm? That's weird, where did it go?"

I looked inside the corners of my drawer, but couldn't find my flight ticket!
