Nearly a day later, we finally found ourselves in front of the door of the Hetalia Mansion.

It was already evening and the mansion stood big and proud under the dark-hued sky. All the lights were turned on inside and out in the garden which made the place look like a beautiful palace.

"We're finally back! How delightful," Arthur smiled.
"Yeah, it feels like it's been forever," Antonio added.

An eerie aura slowly crept behind them. "Forever is a long time. Why don't we visit my place next, da?" Ivan pulled them both into his arms with an unsettling smile.

The two countries looked scared out of their wits. "W-Well I-I...w-we..."

"Hey, everyone!! We're back!!!" Alfred shouted all of a sudden.

He then pulled Kiku's arms and ran towards the door, laughing. "Mr. America, why are we―"

Kiku stopped when the door went wide open and all the countries stood there with big smiles on their faces.

"WELCOME BACK, JAPAN!!"

The Japanese nation stood still. The remaining of us caught up to them and saw tears welling up in Kiku's eyes.

"Kiku..."

Quickly rubbing his moist eyes, he gave a warm smile. "Thank you very much, everyone!"

We smiled at his sincere gratitute.

"Kesesesese!" Gilbert popped out from behind the crowd. "Japan, tonight you're the star! Come on in!!"

"Yes, Japan! Come in!"
"We were waiting for you!!"

Kiku let out a soft giggle before following everyone inside.

"When did everyone plan this, Yao?" I asked him softly.
"I don't know, aru," Yao whispered back.
"I can explain, mon chéri," Francis leaned in.

"Back at the shrine, America made this plan and told us about it. We wanted to keep it a surprise for you to, so we didn't tell you."

"Aiyah! Not even me, aru??" Yao retorted.

"Well, you were always with her so we didn't get the chance to tell you," Arthur said. "Besides, that little wanker dragged me around everywhere just to tell me the plan that time," he sighed.

I giggled.

Turning back, I saw Kiku surrounded by all his friends, smiling and laughing together. Seeing him happy like this finally made my heart at peace.

I felt a nudge at my hand and looked to see Yao shyly smiling at me. A blush softly crept onto my cheeks as I slowly put my hand in his warm and strong hand.

"Hey, (Y/n)!!"

Yao and I got taken aback and quickly left each other's hands.

"Y-Yes?" I asked awkwardly.

"Is it true that you got kidnapped??"
"How did China save you?"
"Hope you didn't get hurt!"

Many countries gathered around me and threw several questions and well-wishes at me.

"I, umm..."

"Aiyah! Let her take a breath, aru!"

"Nahahahaha!! Whatever happened, happened in the past! And the hero saved her anyways!!" Alfred chimed in.
"You mean China saved her," Antonio corrected, sweatdropping.

The night grew with tons of fun moments and happy reunions. Everyone laughed and enjoyed without a care of time. Maybe this is where we needed to be to find home. Being surrounded by friends.
