A Little Present

"Aiyah, we're getting late, aru! Let her go!!"

Yao and I were heading towards the car to get to the airport but the other countries were refusing to let me go.

"Don't go without us, (Y/n)!"
"We'll miss you!!"
"Waaaaah, I'm gonna cry!"

I nervously laughed.

Finally, Yao managed to pull me from their grasp and we got into the car.

I looked out of the window and waved to them. "We'll see you soon! Take care!"
The countries waved back while crying even more dramatically.

When the mansion disappeared in the distance, I took a deep breath and eased myself in my seat.

Yao chuckled. "Everyone loves you a lot, aru."

I turned to him and smiled.

After an hour, we finally reached the airport and took out our luggages. We dropped them at the check-in point and sat at the boarding area.

I nervously fiddled with my fingers.
"(Y/n), is something wrong, aru?" Yao asked.

"I..." I looked down, unable to meet his gaze. Yao must have understood what was bothering me. He placed his hand on mine and smiled.

"You'll do well, (Y/n)" he said.

Seeing Yao beside me, assuring me that everything would be alright, overwhelmed my heart. I know Yao can never be wrong. And I trusted him.

Yao slowly put his hands beneath mine and took them in his.

"Let's go somewhere, aru," he said, standing up.

I got on my feet and nodded.

We looked around the airport's shops. All the stores had different stuff they were selling. While looking around, my eyes landed on a toy-grabbing machine.

"Yao!" I called him and pointed towards it.

Yao smiled as we walked towards it.

He inserted a coin and grabbed the levers. The claw moved inside accordingly and then picked something up. It brought the toy back and dropped it into the award box.

I stood there, waiting for the toy to come out. No sooner, something appeared.

Yao took it and placed it into my hands. I looked at the small toy and gigged.

A cute little panda!

"Thank you so much, Yao!" I beamed.
Yao smiled in return.

Soon, the announcement to board the place came. We headed towards the gate, smiling and laughing.

Our journey has finally begun.
