"Adam, that was the Rebel Leader

"Adam, that was the Rebel Leader. The whole purpose of today's mission simulation was to interrogate him."

"I did, and his answer was, 'Aaaaah!'" Adam told him, waving his arms. The siblings took off their goggles and came over to us.

"Hey, next time could you maybe throw in a cute, blue-eyed rebel?" Bree asked. Donald looked at her weird. "What? I'm just sayin'. It's not gonna kill you to add a little somethin'-somethin' for the ladies."

"Step aside, amateurs." Leo pushed Adam, Chase and I and put on the googles. "Go ahead, Big D. Set it to 'awesome.' " instructed Leo. Like Donald is going to do what he says. The siblings and I sat on the chairs on the other side of the lab.

"Leo, these goggles are not a toy." Donald lectured, taking off his goggles.

"Come on! My birthday's coming up-- globally known as Dia De Leo."

"No. I designed the mission simulator to fine-tune their bionics, not to go on 3-D joyrides. Besides, you're not trained for it." He explained.

"Well, how about as a birthday gift you give me a bionic ability?"

"Or I could gift-wrap reality and you could play with that for a while." Donald answered. Chase turned to Leo. "So Leo's having a birthday. What are you, like, nine?"

"Fourteen." answered Leo as Chase laughed.

"No, seriously." deadpanned Chase.

"So how are you gonna celebrate?" asked Bree.

"We're all going to celebrate. Every year my mom throws me a big surprise party."

"And she comes up with lame excuses to hide the surprises." I added.

"Really?"

"Last year she baked a cake the size of me. I'm not gonna brag, but I was delicious." Leo bragged.

...

"Guess what?" Tasha came down the lab. "I just found out that I won an award for my undercover reporting on expired produce: Something in the crisper can kill you."

"Congratulations! That's so great!" Donald congratulated her as they hugged.

"Oh, thank you. But the awards banquet is the same night as Leo's birthday. I'm sorry, honey. I'm gonna miss it. If I don't show up, I'm afraid that they're gonna give my award to that overdramatic screen hog Linda Montieres."

"It's okay, mum. Go have fun. You deserve it." Leo told Tasha and Leo came towards us. Bree grabbed Leo harshly to the side.

"I thought she was gonna throw you a party. I was promised a party!"

"Like Dawn explained, she comes up with a lame excuse. Award? Please. Have you seen her reporting?" Leo explained as we looked over at her and she was talking to Donald.
