I was with Adam, Chase and the new guy Marcus. He was playing an electric guitar and he was amazing.
" Oh, sweet! Look at your fingers go! It's like each one has a little brain of its own." Adam said wiggling his fingers.
"Thanks. You know, you gus are the only people who have talked to me at this school. I hate being the new kid." he groaned. "Yeah, we used to be the new kids that no one talked to. " He smiled but then it faded " Now we're just the vaguely familiar kids that no one talks to." Adam raised his hand for a high-five like that was something that they have accomplished.
I scoffed "Speak for yourself." He raised an eyebrow. "You always hang out with us. Who else do you talk to other than us?"
"I talk to-" Chase motioned for me to continue but I paused " Shut up! You don't know who I talk to or don't." I crossed my arms against my chest, acting childish as I knew he was right. Marcus laughed and winked at me as Leo walked over.
"Hey, peeps. What's the deal-io?"
"Hi. I'm Marcus." He introduced himself, holding his hand out for a handshake. Leo looked at him awkwardly, going for a fist pump rather than a handshake. " I know. We have gym together. And study hall. And also chemistry. " Leo listed but when he still didn't recognize him he elaborated "We're lab partners"
"Oh. I... did not know that. " He turned his attention to Chase. "Chase, you ever play guitar?"
"No, but I've always wanted to." Chase replied. I nodded my head in agreement as I always wanted to play the guitar.
"Well, I'm a jammer as well. My rocking is only eclipsed by my rolling." Leo tried to brag as I rolled my eyes. Chase looked unamused " Leo, your mom said you played the clarinet for three weeks until you swallowed the reed."
Leo glared at him and snapped " I passed it." I giggled and Adam nodded his head like he understood.
Marcus smiled and proceed to hand Chase the guitar "Here, Chase. You want to give it a go?"
" W-- yeah-- yeah. Sure. Why not?" He put it around him and when he started playing he was unnaturally talented. Probably because he's a genius but it was still impressive. He got lost in the moment so much so that he began going round in circles on the floor. Adam and Leo looked at him in shock and so were the other students. Once he realized that he was playing so well when he never played the guitar, he stopped and stood up. He handed the guitar over to Marcus "Uh... What do you know? Beginner's luck."

At lunch, I was sitting with the boys and Marcus. I am now realizing I spend way too much time with the boys than with Bree. I should change that soon. Anyways, Marcus was telling us a bit about himself. "So me and my dad moved around a lot. I was homeschooled for most of my life."
