"Come on Bree, we're going home now

"Come on Bree, we're going home now. Time to get your things out of your locker." Chase taunted as we followed Bree to her locker as everyone else was going home.

"Yeah, it's not like we're waiting for you to open your locker or anything." I elbowed Adam's stomach as his hand was behind his back. " What he means is-" I got cut off by him, his tone pitching. "-open it." "Will you leave me alone? Can I go two minutes without you three hovering around me?" Bree cried, aggravated. "Bree, with an attitude like that, it's a wonder that you don't get pranked more often." Adam snickered and this time Chase elbowed him. We hid behind the wall next to her lockers as we saw Caitlin walk up to her. When we heard her locker rattle we got out of our hiding spot to see Bree grabbing her other arm that was not stuck on the locker handle to pull it away. Adam took pictures of her as Chase and I laughed.

"Seriously, glue?" "That's quite the sticky situation you've got there." Chase laughed at his own pun and I gave him a weird look. Bree turned her head to look at her friend the best she can because of her position. "You know what Caitlin? If it gets me away from my two brothers I would take a job as a lifeguard at a sewage plant."

"So you're in?"

"Yeah." "Great, see you at the store. Oh, and tech town is a classy place so leave the sewer talk at school." "Hey, dipwads." Bree grabbed our attention away from Caitlin, walking away. "How do I get my hand loose?"

"Hmm. Not sure. But if you figure it out, let me know." Adam told her, sheepishly as he unrevealed his hand from behind his back revealing several items glued to his hand.

...

I was at Tech town, wearing my green shirt as I looked over at Scott, Caitlin and Bree, hiding behind a stack of phones. "Congratulations. You're hired." Scott told her, looking over at his tablet. "Really?"

"Yeah, I'm as shocked as you are." Scott said, expressionless. "The fact that Caitlin already put you in the uniform beat out your complete lack of work experience. Here's your Tech Town nametag." He handed her a used name tag and I noticed because of her awkward laugh once she read it over. "It says 'Ming'.

"Yeah, that's the last person I fired. Didn't know the difference between a flash drive and an SSD." he let out a weird laugh. I saw Caitlin mouth 'I don't know' but then she joined his laughter right as Scott turned to look at her. "SS-Duh."

"Lucky, I hired a kid who actually knows what she's doing " Scott yelled in Caitlin's face and gestured for me to come forwards, making Bree's awkward state turn into shock. "What are you doing here? The reason I came here is to get away from you."

"Yeah, well I came here to buy a cover for my phone one day and this girl did not know what the difference was so I butted in and told her and bam! Got myself a job." I shared a high-five with Scott and turned to look at Bree, who still had her eyes wide open. "Don't worry, Bree. You're gonna love this job."
