Bree and I were on the couch, her reading a magazine whilst I looked over her shoulder. Chase was also with us, playing his PSP." I cannot believe Adam's not back from his driving test. What's taking him so long?" Leo's voice sounded behind me, walking down the stairs. Yeah, I forgot to mention Adam was taking his driving test today. I really hope he passes so that he could drive me anywhere I ask. "Two words: Adam. Test." Bree told him. "Man, if he passes, it's good news for us and bad news for everyone on the road." Chase chuckled. "Or the sidewalk."
"Cut him some slack." I pushed him off the couch. He fell on his butt then he glared at me. "Well, he has to pass. I need him to drive me to that party on Saturday." Leo said.
"Oh, yeah. The party." I said. I completely forgot about it. "What party?" Chase asked. Leo laughed then instantly turned serious. "The one you weren't invited to." "You got invited to Caroline Davis' party and I didn't?" Bree asked him, stunned whilst Leo sat on the arm of the couch. "Neither did I!" exclaimed Chase. " Well, no surprise there." Bree scoffed and turned to Leo again. "But why were you invited? I get why you were invited." She turned to me then furrowed her brows. "No, wait. I don't." I looked at her offended. " Oh, Bree, I'm climbing the social ladder. There are now three or four ladies who make eye contact with me in the hallway." He explained. Bree gave him a look and I rolled my eyes. Yes, Leo because that will so lead you to popularity. " Okay, it's two! But I'm going to the party."
"He's home!" I cheered as we I heard keys jiggling. We got up from our position, only to sit back down once I saw Tasha enter the house with a grocery bag, resting on her arm. We groaned all at once and sat back down." It's just you." "Nice to see you, too." Tasha replied, sarcastically. "Sorry, mum. How's it going?" " Great. I've had the best day. It all started when I went to--" Tasha got cut off by the door opening, revealing Donald which meant Adam was home. "Save it for later, woman! Adam's here!" Leo told her and pushed her aside. " Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Mission Creek's newest fully licensed driver!" Donald cheered, making me sigh in relief. Adam doesn't enter when Donald mentioned him. "Adam, that's you."
" Oh, right." He entered the house and cheered."Woo-hoo, I passed!" We cheered along with him. "He really impressed me. He got a 96 on the test." Donald informed us. " I didn't even know scores went up that high! Oh, and get this, Mr. Davenport said if I passed, he'd buy me a car." "What?!" Tasha glared at her husband. " Well, in my defense, I never thought he would pass." Donald told her with the side of his mouth. " Yeah, none of us did." Bree commented. "Preachin' to the choir, people." Adam laughed. "Donald, are you sure he's ready for a car? You remember what happened when you bought him a bike?" Tasha recalled. They seemed to be re-living that day when Donald cringed as I closed the door. "Um... to be fair, honey, Adam is a lot more responsible now. He worked very hard to get his driver's license, and I think he should be rewarded." We look over at Adam who was seated on the red chair. He was pretending to drive and imitated driving noises and also what seemed to be an explosion.
