Adam, Chase, Bree, Leo and I walked up to our house, way past our curfew. We were all chill about it except the goody-two-shoes, Chase. "We are gonna be in so much trouble with Mr. Davenport. We're two hours past curfew, and lights are already off." He said as Leo looked at his watch. "We are bionic teenagers who go on top-secret missions, okay? I'm pretty sure we can sneak past an out-of-shape, middle-aged man." Bree argued, walking past us, facing Chase.

"Alright, well, just to be safe, I'll use my bionic vision to scan inside." He scanned the house and then turned to us. "All clear. They must be asleep."
" Good, but we've gotta be super quiet." Leo warned us.
"Sneakin' in after curfew." Chase smirked. " This'll totally boost my bad boy cred." "Really? You were just stressing on the fact that we came back home past curfew and now you're a bad boy?" I asked him, raising my eyebrow. He paused for a second, probably processing what I just said and pretended he didn't hear me. "Tippy toes, people. Tippy toes."
"Spoken like a true bad boy." Bree said, sarcastically as I silently giggled. We snuck in quietly and me being the last one out, I quietly closed the door, cringing at the little squeaky sound it made. I matched Bree's pace as we made it past the living room when the lights suddenly turned on. "Busted!" Donald exclaimed as we yelled in fright. "AHH!!" He emerged from under an invisibility cloak and we yelled again. " Ha!"
"I don't get it! I scanned the room!" Chase said, confused. Donald took the cloak off and walked towards us "Mm-hmm, and I foiled you with my invisibility cloak!" He threw the cloak onto the sofa. "Again, I say 'Ha!'"
" Well, you got us. Good night." I smiled innocently, trying to make the situation better for ourselves and we proceeded to run away when he stopped us again. "Freeze! You are all grounded. Three weeks."
"What?!" Leo groaned. "That's not fair!" Chase and I exclaimed. " Come on!" Bree groaned as well along with Adam. "Is that all you got?"
"Look, you guys have no idea what it's like raising teenagers." Donald told us. Silence was casted upon us until Adam spoke up. "He can't ground me if he can't see me." He pushed Bree out of the way and started running towards the couch to grab a blanket from the couch. He put it on his head and smashed into the front door. "Ahh! I didn't grab the invisibility cloak, did I?" We silently shook our heads. These are gonna be 3 long weeks.

...

We were in the lab, playing cards when Adam groaned. " I hate being grounded. Is the three weeks over yet?"
"It hasn't even been a day." Bree replied, grumpily. My dad ran excitedly towards us with a smile on his face. "Guys! Guys! I did it! I finally did it!"
"Graduated to big boy shoes?" "Stopped being boring?" I said at the same time as Leo. "No. I finally achieved something I have wanted my whole life. I won the Presidential Medal for Scientific Achievement!"

"Mm. That's great." Chase congratulated. "Yeah, I think I got one of those for doing pull-ups in gym class." Adam recalled as he shuffled his cards. " I don't think so."
"Oh, yeah, you're right. It was push-ups." He smiled and continued playing the game.
"This is the highest honor a scientist can receive. My picture's gonna be plastered online and offline. If there's a line, my face is gonna be on it." "What'd you win it for?" Chase asked. "My neural scrambler." He replied as he took out the neural scrambler. " This thing is going to revolutionize the field of neurology."
