Today was the day that I went with the trio on a mission. It was awesome, scary at first to try and control my bionics but once I got the hang of it with a little help from Chase, it was awesome. We just came back from the mission and entered the lab and I smiled at Donald. "Mission accomplished." "Great job, guys. You saved that island from the biggest tropical storm in decades. And Dawn awesome job!" He high-fived me. "And, lucky for you, I brought home a whole bag of hairy fruit." Adam said, dumping the fruit on the console."Yeah, just be happy I made him put the pelican back." Bree sighed and he gave her a weird look as Adam tried to bite the fruit. "Guys, that mission was the finest use of bionics to date. I think we can all agree that strength plus speed equals success." Donald smiled and pointed at them as the duo high-fived. "Uh, uh...excuse me. Let's not forget the mastermind behind this entire thing." Chase reminded them, obviously stating for himself. "Oh, right. Let's give it up for our fearless leader..." Adam trailed on, putting an arm around Bree. Chase was smiling until Adam turned his head towards Donald. "...Mr. Davenport! Whoo!" Bree clapped and Donald high-fived both Bree and Adam.
"What? No! I was talking about me! I supervised the whole mission." Chase argued as I nodded. "Yeah, without him I wouldn't have been able to use my powers right specifically for the mission- you know still trying to figure out the hand of it."
"Yeah, but I think we all know who did the heavy lifting." Adam said as he continued to hold the fruit as Chase glared. "I'll give you a hint: Starts with an 'A', ends with an 'M'. There's a big 'da' in the middle." Nobody said anything and Chase continued to glare. "Okay, guys, it's me." He smiled and tried once again to bite the coconuts. "Please, the real work happened up here." Chase pointed to his head. "Guys, no offense, but your bionic brain is no match for our hustle--"
"-And muscle." Adam finished, flexing his muscles and making me fake yawn. "Yawn." They ignored me and Donald turned towards them, excitedly. "Ooh, that is a great team name! Hustle, Muscle, Ch...uscle and D...uscle." He pointed at each one of us but stuttered when it came to me and Chase. "Mm. Don't worry, we'll find you an 'ustle.'" Chase looked at them as if they had three heads and walked over to him. "I'm so tired of these two getting all of the attention because they have super speed and super strength. I never get any of the credit." Chase sighed and although I tease him all the time, he has a point.
"That is not true, Chase. They just have a lot of flash. But you're the glue that holds that flash together. You're..." He hesitated not knowing how to make his child feel better "...flash glue. And Dawn you just started, I'm sure we'll find you an 'ustle'." "Yeah, cause that's really important." I mumbled sarcastically.
"I'm 'flash glue?'" Chase turned to his sibling and back to him and repeated what he just said like it was a ridiculous praise, which it was. "Hey, I think I figured it out." Adam exclaimed and cracked the fruit on his forehead to be able to open it. "Ahh...You're right, Chase. The real work does happen up here." Chase and I rolled our eyes as he drank from the coconut. I left the lab to go work on my own 'ustle'. Not that I cared.
