I was eating popcorn in the lab, cause why not whilst Leo was explaining what happened at school regarding the basketball tournament and Trent.

"And no matter what I do, Trent always makes me look like a fool in front of Janelle."

"Well, he does get a little help from you in that area." I giggled at that and Leo sarcastically laughed.

"How awesome would it be if I could beat him in that basketball tournament? That would impress her."

Chase stopped what he was doing and gave us his idea look. Or as I like to call it: his dorky look. "Wait a second."

"Uh-oh, you just turned on that Chase I'm-smarter-than-you-and-I-have-a-big-idea light-bulb face! " I nodded in agreement and added "It's not your best look, by the way."

Chase gave me a look before he stood up and walked over to the awesome shoes on the bench. " Davenport has been working on an anti-gravity high-top sneaker for astronaut training. Maybe the sneakers will up your game with a few gravity-defying slam dunks."

"Woah! Those could be my awesome sneakers." I went to touch it but Chase slapped my hand away. "Like I said: these are used for astronaut training and-- well in Leo's case not so they can be worn to make others jealous." I gasped "I was not-" I was going to defend myself but paused as that was the exact reason I wanted them "Yeah, you're right."

"Chase, not to play the obvious card, but there is no way my compact kickers are gonna fit into those shoe canoes."

"Yeah, he has small feet. Like my dad." I agreed. Chase smirked "Just put 'em on" He tried them on and when he stood up the shoes took form of his feet, making them fit perfectly. "Whoa! Oh, yeah, baby!" Leo chuckles. He walked slowly as he felt how lightweight they are. He jumps a few times, up and down and they launch him into the air   "Whoa! Whoa!"

"Say hello to Air Leo!"

I laughed in amazement "More like Air Head." and high-fived Chase. " Now for the real test."

. . .

I whistled in between Chase and Leo, like a referee. Chase was dribbling the ball in between his legs when Leo easily took it launched himself towards the wall, jumped off of it, and threw the ball into the hoop, looking like a professional. "Woah." I gasped.

"Yes! Did you see that? I don't need these shoes. That was all me. Watch." Leo said and took off the shoes. I grabbed the ball from the floor and threw it at him. He threw the basketball into the basket which he failed to do and fell down. Chase and I laughed while he grunted in pain "Okay, it was the shoes." I grabbed his hand to help him up and went to the school. Chase thought it would be a good idea to get a megaphone, making Leo's entrance more dramatic. When we arrived at the school I opened the door and Chase was situated behind me, smiling.
