We were sitting on the circular seat in the middle of the hallway when Bree approached, her eyes glued to a paper she was holding. "Hey, did you guys know we had a study abroad program?" she asked, glancing up.

"Why would I go to another country to do something I don't do here?" Adam questioned, making Chase, Leo, and me point at him simultaneously, silently acknowledging he had a valid point. "Look--" Bree ignored him and held up a pamphlet about the program. "--it says you get to spend a whole semester at a high school in Australia. And guess what? I applied." Bree beamed. "Cool! Kelly Porter went last year. She got sucker punched by a kangaroo." Leo stated, mimicking a punch.

"Well, all right, I guess we're going to Australia." Adam said with a grin. "Ooo, I'm so getting punched by a kangaroo!" I cheered, high-fiving Adam.

"Uh, no, no, no. No way." Bree declared, quickly shutting down the idea. "This is my thing. I mean, I can finally be on my own. I can study, travel, make new friends..."

"Mmm, I hate to be a wet blanket--" Chase interrupted her, standing up. "No, you don't." Leo interjected, shaking his head as Chase scowled at him and turned his attention right back to Bree. "--But Mr. Davenport is never gonna let you do this. You can't go on missions if you're halfway across the world."

"Well, sure I can. I mean, I haven't figured out all the details yet, but there's gotta be a way to make it work." She replied, hopeful she could convince our father. "Not unless these three can unlock a new ability to make up for you not being here." Leo remarked, pointing at Adam, Chase, and I. "Mhmm." Chase agreed with a nod.

"I've always wanted to geo-leap. Maybe once I unlock the ability, you'd be able to go to Australia." I suggested optimistically. "Problem solved." Chase shared an amused smile with Bree while she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"Ooh! Well, maybe I can unlock an ability where I disappear and reappear somewhere else. Let me try." Adam suggested , standing up. He extended his arms, closed his eyes, and began grunting. After a few seconds, he opened his eyes.  "Did it work?"

"You didn't do it long enough. Try it again, this time, more grunting." Chase suggested. Adam closed his eyes again, grunting louder as Chase motioned for us to quietly shift positions to the other side so that it'll look like he did teleport. When Adam opened his eyes and noticed our new positions, he grinned.

"You did it!"

"Well done buddy!"

"Yeah!"

"Whoo!"

...

Later, while Adam, Bree, and I shared a bowl of popcorn, Donald approached, holding a serious expression. "Bree, is there something you wanna tell me?"

"I got this." Adam stood up confidently. "Look, we all like you, but we think Tasha could've done better." He patted his shoulder but before he could walk away, I grabbed the popcorn bowl from his hands, watching Donald and Bree as they argued. "I just got a phone call that said you'd been accepted to study in Australia."
