"I cannot wait to see this!"

"Wait to see what?" I asked them as I noticed the door was open so I made my way out to the porch to see, Adam, Davenport and Chase near the presence of a telescope. "The lunar eclipse." Chase answered with a giddy smile on his face. "Oh, cool! Let me see." I shoved him out of my way, making him fall onto the floor. I heard Adam and Davenport laugh at Chase as I focused the lens to my liking to see the pretty view. "Wow, it's amazing! Chase, you're really missing out." I snickered as I stepped back from it and for Chase to stand back up and take a look for himself but before he could even move his face closer, Davenport stood behind him with a knowing look. "But I can't wait no more." He sighed. "You're gonna have to." He also pushed him out of his way, making him crash into a plant. "It's beautiful."

"Let me see, let me see." Chase tried to go look but got pushed by Adam. "My turn." "Wow! Cool!" He looked at the sky, with squinted eyes. "What am I lookin' at?" "Shadows. Duh." I snickered again, making my dad give me a look. "Not just shadows. Adam, a lunar eclipse is a rare and breathtaking event. The moon is passing directly behind the earth blocking the light that normally illuminates it." "Exactly. Rare shadows." I shrugged, making him let out an exasperated sigh. "Wow! Nothing more exciting than a slow-moving shadow." Adam nodded in my direction. "Watching a lunar eclipse takes time and patience. We're gonna be here all night." "Oh, great, so it's like a sleepover, minus the fun." Adam commented, making me let out a chuckle just as Bree walked in, confused as to why everyone was standing outside. "Hey, what are you guys doing?"

"Lookin' at the lunar eclipse." I answered and she smiled. "Oh, cool! Let me see!" She shoved him to the ground just like everyone else did.

"Oh, come on!"

"If we are going to be here all night and get to watch that happen then it is just like a sleepover." I high-fived Adam.

...

The trio and I got hungry so we sat on the sofa, eating some popcorn and watch Leo move around with a camera in his hand. "Leo Dooley's video log of the lunar eclipse. I'm recording tonight's events as they happen in real-time. No editing, no filters, and no special effects." I watched him turn the camera towards Donald, who was still bending to look at the eclipse. "That's right, folks. He's as old as he appears." I giggled as I noticed Davenport was cracking his back.

"Hey, what are you filming?" "The bizarre events that happen during lunar eclipses. Lakes go dry, rivers turn red--" "People won't stop talking." Adam cut him off, innocently smiling.

"Leo, please tell me you don't buy into all that lame folklore." Donald hoped as he stood behind him. "It's not folklore, it's true. During the last eclipse, I saw a bird fly backwards and no one believed me!" Leo explained as Donald scoffed in response. "It's not that we didn't believe you, we just don't care about the things you say." Bree tried to explain slowly, the more words she says the more she cringes.
