We've been back at the tower for a couple hours now, Clint has been checked over and is fine. It was just a flesh wound so he was stitched up and sent on his way.
Bruce popped my shoulder back in and helped me change my shirt as it had blood all over from a cut in my head.
I put a tight vest top on and Bruce placed my arm into a sling
Bruce- you are going to need that for a couple days, don't take it out unless you really have to.
Y/N- thanks Bruce, good job out there today.

I headed into my office and started to see what I could find out about this Maximoff person. I'd spent an hour or so on it when I'm called to the main room
Y/N- this better be important
Steve- you sent us in blind, we could've died not knowing they were there
Y/N- excuse me?
Steve- you didn't do your job properly Y/N, if we had known about the speedster and Witch then maybe, Clint wouldn't have got hurt
Y/N- nice to see you only care about Clint here Steve. If I had known they even existed then I would have told you, I think considering you don't have a scratch on you then you got out of that fight just fine. Now stop wasting my time and let me do my job.
Steve- You should've done your job before me went there
Y/N- listen to me, I know what it feels like to lose people on the job and it hurts so don't you dare stand there telling me I should've done better because I already know.

I wasn't going to stand there and let him shout at me. I understood why he was angry but he didn't go about it in the right way, he should've spoken to me like a normal person.
It has been a long day so I just wanted some peace. I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge when I felt someone running their fingers over the bruises on my shoulder
Nat- these look nasty
Y/N- it's okay, I'm sure I've had worse
Nat- I'll grab you some ice, take a seat
I knew arguing or saying no wasn't an option, if she told you to do something then you had to do it.
She lays the ice on shoulder and stands behind me holding it
Nat- you know you did the best you could today
Y/N- I should've known
Nat- how could you know about them?
Y/N- I don't know but Steve was right, I messed up and could've got all of you killed
Nat- what did he say?

I explain the conversation to her, I can't see her but I can feel her anger
Y/N- I know you're angry but please stop squeezing the ice so much
Nat- oh shit, I'm sorry
She releases the pressure and puts the ice back in the freezer but brings a couple drinks back with her. Sitting down next to me she takes my hand and looks at me
Nat- you didn't mess up and I know you would never want any of us to get hurt so don't blame yourself
I look away from her, I couldn't agree with what she was saying. I knew it was my fault and everyone else thought it too.
I can see her moving behind me and she pulls my chair out slightly, her hand rests on my good shoulder before I see her leg swing over my lap as she straddles me.
My heart is racing and my breathing hitches. Her hand cups my jaw as she pulls my head to look at her
Nat- don't look away when I'm talking to you, if this was your fault then I'd be the first to tell you, okay?
Y/N- yeah, okay.

She adjusts my neck and sees the mark the witch left when she strangled me, her fingers slowly trace over it
Nat- does this hurt?
Y/N- it did when she was trying to kill me but I can't feel it now
Nat- I'm glad it doesn't hurt
Her face edges closer to mine as I slowly lean forward myself when there's a loud noise and we both pull away
Y/N- what was that?
Nat jumps up and runs into the main room, I follow behind her
Nat- why are there balloons everywhere?
Tony- we got the information we needed so it's party time
Y/N- seriously Stark?
Tony- yep, the mood needs lightening so I've arranged a small gathering. Agent hill is coming Y/N so make sure you look your best
I stand there confusion covering my face, I turn to see Natasha has stormed out of the room but nobody else had noticed
Y/N- do you need any help?
Tony- we are all good, get some rest and be prepared for tonight. It's going to be a memorable one

I trudged back to my room, I wasn't in the mood for a party but if it was going to help the team get over their differences then I'd be there.
I didn't know why Tony made a comment about Maria, she was my best friend and that was it. Okay yes, we've slept together a couple times but we were drunk and it was before I was with someone else.
Then seeing Natasha storm off like that made me even more confused, like what was going on?
Did everyone think something was going on between me and Maria or was it just Tony?

Anyway, I didn't have much time to worry about things considering everything was taking me longer than before.
I have a quick shower and take a nap before even thinking about partying
