Narrator POV-

Your eyes started to twitch open but everything was dark. An itchy hood covered your head as your arms and legs were strapped to the chair you were sat in.
Lifting your head up, the hood was ripped off. The bright lights of the room shining towards your face, one light placed directly in front blinding you.

??- you're finally awake.
The blurry vision starts to pass, red streaks covering a previously white vest. The shiny straps on your wrist took your interest, there was no point in struggling, you'd never be able to break them. The same type of metal keeping your legs in place, one strap around your ankle and the other over the top of your thighs.
??- You aren't getting out of those.

The voice wasn't in the room but what sounded like a speaker. Navigating your way around the room, a camera was spotted in the corner to your right, it covered the whole parameter of the room and there were no blinds spots.
The speaker was located on the other side of the room, a large speaker face with no exposed wires or cables.
The room had been safety proofed, no way to escape if you did make it out of the restraints.
One thing did catch your eye. A large drain located under your chair, it was around 4ft by 5ft, definitely large enough to fit a person through.

??- Miss Y/N Clarke, you signed off a mission for the Avengers, what was it?
You just sat in silence, you were never going to answer their questions.
??- answer me or you'll be punished.
The threat was genuine, the anger in the distorted voice told you everything. They were being serious and would do anything to get the information out of you.

Y/N- where am I?
??- ah so she does speak
Y/N- who are you?
??- nobody you want to know, call me Mike
Y/N- what do you want Mike?
Mike- simple, tell us the plans for the avengers last trip and you're free to go.
He was lying and you knew it, he'd slipped up already but he hadn't realised. The word pattern had been the same the whole time so you knew it was one man doing the talking but he said us, so there were others helping.

Y/N- I don't know anything about it, I just sign what I'm given
Mike- YOU ARE LYING!
A loud churning noise fills the room, water dropping down on top of you.
It wasn't just water, ice shards falling down as the freezing blocks hit your body hard.
Y/N- shit Mike, I thought we were friends
Mike- Stop talking
Y/N- you wanted me to talk a minute ago

The speaker clicks off, your body chilling down quickly from the water. The drain now made sense, it was their way of torture but it wasn't going to work. You were too well trained for some cold water to make a difference.

The room went dark, blaring music through the speakers.
Sense deprivation torture, amateurs at best.

Maria POV-

We'd spent hours combing through the footage, it didn't show us much.
We hadn't been sent the all of the footage yet but we had split it down, different Agents focusing on different areas.

Sharon- I've got something
Maria- what is it?
Sharon- Brown van, three armed men jumped out and went into the warehouse.
Maria- zoom in on the back of the van
She did as asked, huge bottles full of a red substance in there
Sharon- it's not her blood, she hadn't arrived by this time.
Maria- listen up everyone! This is now a rescue operation not a recovery. Cooper, track the van across the city, find where it stopped. Sharon, run facial recognition on the men and somebody figure out when they kidnapped Y/N.

She had to be alive. I needed her and this agency needed her. Everybody loved Y/N because she was perfect, no matter what she would always check up on people. She'd ask how their nights were or if they'd were okay after a breakup, she really cared for people and it showed.

Sharon- two of the men have prior records for robbery whilst the other man has a long sheet: robbery, kidnapping, murder, dangerous driving, assault. He's got 4 outstanding warrants on his name, he's incredibly dangerous.
Maria- we need to find them, Cooper, have you got anything?
Cooper- they travelled 12 miles, cameras catching them at this interstate and they aren't seen again. I've been running the surrounding buildings but none of them are suspicious yet
Maria- good, keep going. Sharon can help you.

Narrator POV-

You didn't know how long you'd been there for. The lights would turn on and off for random amounts of time at random points.

Y/N- hey Mike
The speaker crackled
Mike- yes?
Y/N- I'm getting a little hungry here
Mike- I don't care
Y/N- rude, I can't tell you things if I'm dead

The door creaks open, a large guy walks in but not with food, instead he's holding a cattle prod.
Y/N- I don't think I can eat that
You presses it against your stomach, volts of electricity circulating through your body.
Y/N- come on man, that hurt
??- tell me what I need to know
Y/N- you haven't asked a question yet
??- tell me where the winter soldier is
Y/N- don't you think if I knew that then shield would've captured him? God you guys are idiots

The pain happened again but this time it was longer. Your hands gripping tight to the wooden chair, your whole body vibrating from the electric.
The man left the room, a gun holstered on his hip.
Moving around, you realised something, the metal restraint had loosened enough to slip your hand out of. The screws were rotten and old, it was the same on the other side.

It was time to figure out how to remove the other restraints. This was the only way you could escape and time wasn't on your side. Their torture was escalating and they weren't going to let you leave alive.
