You peered through the fence of the schools open field from the shadows. Many people were doing as you were, watching, and admiring the people in play. Of course, for such a game like this, there were more than one person, but there were two that stood out. William and...

Your eyes followed a certain boys every move. Ganji. Of course, more than half of the girls here were eyeing those two like no tomorrow, cheering them on and calling their names, and swooning whenever William looked their way with a wink. However the one that you preferred was rather quiet, and didn't make any move to look your way. William was good at just about any sport, but with this one, it seemed Ganji takes the cake every time. A form of baseball from peering on the outside, Cricket. It looked fun, or that's just how much they made it look so.

You watched Ganji walk up to bat, and every time he did your eyes widened with such interest. The girls cheered as William made many flirty winks to the girls on the side, ready to run home. Clearly he was the more favored one, but you couldn't even spare him a glance, how odd. And as Ganji wound up his arm to ready for your peers throw, you couldn't help but wonder. That despite being so close to him, and even his few friends, you never seemed to even share any interaction with him.

You grabbed the things form your locker ignoring the occasional soft shove from one of the girls nearby. They simply didn't notice your presence was all, in the midst of your peer. "Scuse me!" Some voice said as they past you. You had already squished against your locker as much as possible, but it proved that more and more girls hearing Williams location, piled at the front of the school.

Uncomfortable as ever, you settled things into your locker, and placed what you needed in your bag. You weren't a confrontational person, but that doesn't mean you weren't easily annoyed. "Hey can you-!" You turned as far as you could to shout at the girls behind you but were immediately pushed back. You were never around William much, was this how it always was in his radius!? You felt yourself squish against your locker with whatever space was left and you were sure that even if you wanted to leave in that moment you couldn't.

"Hey."

You felt the pressure of a million weights lifted from you as you took a deep breath in your new found bubble of space. Ah, you should thank whoever helped. You looked up with a weary smile, but your gratitude was stuck in your throat. "Do you need help?" Ganji stood before you, his body a couple feet from your own and an arm on one side of you to prevent anyone from piling onto you. "O-oh! I- do you mind?"

He shook his head vaguely. "Just hurry up." And you hummed, quickly packing your things and closing the small compartment. "Ready?" He asked, looking down at you as he was forced to move closer. "Yeah, thanks." He hummed before looking up, it wouldn't be fun but you would both have to squish past everyone to get out. "Alright, just stay close okay?" He pulled you back to his chest and took small steps with you. "Thanks, Ganji. Why help me?" You said, almost so quiet you were surprised he heard you. "You're the only civil one here who's just trying to leave. I figured that's enough reason. You're not annoyingly love sick."

Ohhhh, if only you knew.

"Hm, well lucky me then huh?" You laughed lightly with a hint of nervousness. His hand clasped your shoulder, and his other was out in front of you pushing others away. With a few rocky bumps along the way, and his chest being forced to bump into your back every once in a while, you both took deep breaths as you made it into open air outside.

However you wished maybe you got stuck back there as he let go of you quickly. You felt the warmth of where his hand was moments ago, and your eyes flickered downwards from him. "Are you alright?" His deep voice, seemingly uncaring but he was very much interested in your status. You stood up straight and waved your hand. "I'm all good thanks!" His eyes were unmoving, and his gaze lingered for what felt like minutes.
