I hadn't touched this one in a while but I felt I should give you something even if it's not I think one of my bests! qwq I don't want to starve you all when you are so patient and kind.

Lydia held your hand bringing you around every twist and turn of the clinics halls and floors. The woman who pulled you around seemed to cherish you dearly, and at some point you believed it.

Despite the many problems the other patients would get into and the countless screams from them, you found yourself to be quite catered to. It seems everyone in the world had favorites, you were lucky enough to be hers.

"Ada's coming today!" She beamed, doing her best to not practically skip with joy. "So then..." You questioned, and she nodded. "She's bringing Emil! We have something to talk about, you guys can wander around and play if you want."

It was strange how she treated you like a pet, a very loved one, but still. She was nearly no older than yourself, but she seemed to have already made it in life. Though her childishness and irresponsibility did come through once in a while. As she made it to the lobby of her clinic, it was shown again. She bounced excitedly on her feet waiting for her friend.

And when Dr. Mesmer did walk through the doors, Lydia cheered. "Ada!" She let go of your hand to embrace the girl two years younger, who did the same. You leaned to the side of them, and smiled to see your own friend. He smiled widely first, running up to you with a very tight hug. "Emil be careful." Ada said with a puff of her cheeks, coming up and pulling him away. "I'm just very excited!" He confessed and she smiled.

"He's cute Ada." Lydia said sweetly to which Ada flushed and waved her hand as if telling her 'oh stop'. "(Y/n) looks good, you've been taking good care of her." They complemented each other on the both of you, before they finally finished their competition of flattery. "Alright, we have to go somewhere private to talk alright?" Lydia said waving a finger around to seem serious, you both simply nodded. "But, I've sedated a patient in one of the operating rooms and strapped them down if you want to play doctor!"

Ada smiled at that. "Ah you always have the best games, that sounds fun. To bad we can't play with you guys, but we won't be long!" The woman ruffled your hair before they began to walk off into one of the many halls.

"What do you wanna do?" Emil asked, anticipating your next move. "Well, we could go see that patient?" Of course you weren't very fond of preforming some surgery on someone who didn't need it, as if you knew how to anyways. But what Lydia always put up for you two to play with, you feared if you didn't interact even a little with it she might get mad. At the same time you believed she loved you to much to be mad, it was conflicting how to feel.

"Alright let's go."

He had been here many times before already, so he knew where the operating rooms were and began to walk. You trailed behind him despite this being your own place of residence, you felt like the guest. "Emil?" You asked softly, and he hummed. "Don't you want to live on your own?"

And it was clear to him now why your voice was so quiet. As if such a subject was forbidden to even whisper about he turned his head to you with a weary look. "Won't we get in trouble if we ask to leave?" He picked his pace up, to find the room to talk in silence. You sped up with him, your head turning back to look behind you as a sense of paranoia came over you both.

When you made it to the room, he closed the door and drew the windows blinds. You recall some people liked to come visit and watch, it wasn't any operating theatre where students could watch a learn, just a window for viewing, for most likely sick people.

The person on the table made you uneasy, sedated heavily it seemed as you believed they were sound asleep. You took no steps closer, and only lowered yourself to sit on the floor. Emil knew you would not be touching the body anytime soon. Unlike your beloved doctor, you had empathy.
