this was in my drafts and it's sort of a thing already so I thought I would give it out www

You laid on top the of man as he laid on the sofa in the lounge. You were sure he was sound asleep, as you had been stationed there for maybe thirty minutes. He did not make a peep, only breathed softly in a hypotonic pattern.

You loved Aesop, and he loved you. Though you feared to give him every part of you, because maybe you wouldn't be good enough anymore. Of course whenever it came down to your constant belittling of how unworthy you were for him, he would sit you down and have a long talk. By the end of it you'd feel better and he would have his arms around you.

It was strange to see the once quiet, isolated man become so affectionate for someone, let alone yourself. And as boring as his love for you seemed, he really did love you to the moon and back.

"Are you thinking too much again."

You sat up quickly, pushing off of the mans chest. It wasn't even a question, he already knew you to well. "I- I mean, maybe to you I was." You defended your precious thoughts, before he sat up to face you. "You make a face when you think that way." His eyes seemed to glare at you when it was just his normal expression, but you couldn't help but look away.

"How many times must I reassure you?" He asked, lowering his head to maybe catch a glimpse of your eyes but to no avail. "I love you very much, would you like me to repeat it?" He was quick to please you, and it made you frantic. "N-no." However you would've liked to hear it again and again, because it did make you feel better. "What are you so worried about? What are you always dreading about in that mind of yours?"

You leaned forward, placing your head on his chest. "I keep thinking, that maybe after we get out of here, you won't want me anymore. Maybe you just find it nice to have someone to love while being here. You won't need me after we leave, you won't love me anymore..."

He was quiet for what seemed like decades, and you couldn't help but grip his sleeve. "Sorry." He said softly, "I think that's impossible." You flushed but made no move to get away. "I've fallen in love with you too much."

"You're worried about pleasing me enough to want to stay with you when your wants and needs are not below my own. You know that don't you?" His smooth voice and deep eyes drew you further into his body as he caressed your cheek with a hand. "You couldn't loose me by pleasing yourself first, (Y/n). So please don't worry about the future so much. I've fallen in love with who you are, and I don't think you're going to change so immensely that I'll stop loving you."

Your lips were quivered into an unsure line before you looked up to him. "How can I... love you? What is the key to this love thing?" You loved him, but you thought you could do better for someone like him.

"The key?" He questioned, before quietly thinking to himself, his eyes lighting up quickly as he found an answer he liked for you. "The key is..." He cupped your cheeks and looked into your eyes, his never changing but yours were eager and nervous. "Love yourself first. Then you can truly love me." You grabbed his wrists. "That might take a while-! what about you?" His eyes widened in shock. "I didn't mean stop loving me." He chuckled quietly after saying that which made you smile a bit. "You can still love me, it might help you love yourself too, but I'd like if you could understand your self worth without me having to praise you every five minutes. You're always worth it, so try to learn that."

It was overwhelming, what he told you. You sighed and laid your head on his shoulder. "Okay... thank you, Aesop." He hummed as he held you close to him, your face in the crook of his neck and his hand on your back.
