This is- not as good as I hoped
。゚(゚'ω'゚)゚。Damnit, this was horrible. You were one of the most powerful demons to ever terrorize this part of the country and now look at yourself. Afraid and cooped up against the corner of a bared cage. The room was dark and you could only hear the hopeless groans of other lower demons around you.
Honestly when you were first put in here you thought you deserved some kind of privilege, at least to be kept in a different room. Nonetheless your status didn't matter to these demon hunters apparently.
You heard muffled talking from behind the solid and locked door of the room you were in. An enchantress had come and cast a spell on this entire building, your powers were useless. To a human eye it'd be invisible but to your slitted, glowing eyes, you seen every trace of purple essence and aura flowing around the room.
The talking stopped and the light came in like a sunrise, yet it was night, maybe that's just how dark it was in here. Your eyes didn't mind the silhouettes and were instead stuck on past their presence. Outside, the moon was full in the giant window of another room. It was so close if you just reached for it-
Your rising hand was stopped as one of the people coming in closed it shut. You were so weak and frail now. Where did your sparky spirit go? Who knows. You just wanted out, you didn't even acknowledge the two figures that stopped in front of you. One of them began to speak.
A quick glance of your eyes and he was pale as snow. Strange. A red scarf and strange hat. A whip on his belt. Ah you remember him, this scent. Your oppressor.
"She was trouble to get but the people victim of her acts paid a good price for her capture." He shared words with the other male next to him. You didn't bother looking at him though, you didn't recognize his scent meaning he was unimportant to you. As of now at least.
The next words you heard made your palms go clammy and your breathing hitched. A deep and smooth voice almost like a fallen angel spoke up. "How much?"
Even the red scarfed man took a moment before letting out a small chuckle. What was so funny about someone being bought? You almost got angry enough that your old persona of a blood lusting psycho showed up. But you couldn't. You were just tired. You had given up.
"C'mon Aesop we're pals, I don't need you to pay me to have her." The man lightly punched the Aesop guys shoulder.
"I can't take her just because we're friends. It won't sit well with me."
"Then how about a crate of your wine in the cellar?"
That was such a quick response you thought he planned it.
"You wanted that from the start didn't you Kevin?" Aesop said as monotone as he could, unimpressed with the request.
"Yes."
...
"Very well." Aesop said with a wave of his hand. The Kevin guy seemed to be ecstatic as he walked (more like danced) his way out of the room eager to drink the rich liquid.
Now what?
Aesop quickly crouched down to your level of the small cage, holding the bars, which you weren't expecting. You jumped and backed away, despite already being the farthest you could be. His eyes were strange. Black sclera's and red pupils. They stared at you as if you told a lie and he wanted you to break under his pressure and tell the truth.
What is this? You slowly clutched your heart as panic set in. I'm intimidated by a human? Lord Desaulnier would've killed me if I showed this behavior in front of him. Your breathing was shaky and uneven as ever.
