"You just seem... really distant lately..." You whispered softly. You sat on the Embalmers lap, (innocently!) your arms around him and his around you.
He was silent to your slight surprise. "Do I not make you happy?" You asked once more. His hold tightened. "No, being with you makes me very happy. I enjoy this feeling." Your eyes lowered. Feeling... he enjoyed the feeling. But, not you?
You wouldn't dare push it, Aesop had a gentle heart. He would not mean to harm you in anyway directly, but... indirectly was different. The male had been distant from you lately, always found in the infirmary. No he wasn't hurt, he was talking to the Doctor.
When you asked him about it, he quickly shut it down. He said, we just bond over medicines, since I used to use some back in my work. Of course, you were unsatisfied with that answer, but you wouldn't want to be nosy.
"I love how you make me feel." He muttered. You were not in the most ecstatic of moods to spout him with affection. "Me too." You said softly. You were honest, you loved the affection you would both give and receive, it felt good to love someone. But did you really love him? Or did you only love loving him?
You didn't like to think about that very much. So before you could taint your mind with unbearable thoughts, you closed your eyes and fell asleep on your lover.
Do I love you?

You shifted on the plush covers of your bed. "Oh, Aesop left." Yes, you two would sleep together sometimes. It was very nice, nothing intimate would ever happen. It was just an act of how much you loved each other, a desire to be close. But, after a few months, Aesop would often disappear early in the morning. You wondered each time what could he be going to do so early, but you found that on your own. The infirmary, Emily, 'medicine'.
Deep down you both knew something was off, but you never asked one another. "Eli..." You muttered without control. Your very best friend, was also acting strange. No more would he trick you like he used too, or even rough house. In fact, he acted as if you had the plague, and stayed away as much as possible.
But you would try and force time with him, wether he liked it or not... like right now. You sped off to the Seer's room, desperate for his presence. Alas you made it, and you barged in without knocking.
"(Y/n)-!" He was up early, giving affection to Poppo like you had expected. You ignored the yelp of your name, and went to plop down onto his bed. You were silent, and the Seer placed Poppo down.
You caught the scent of his covers and your eyes glistened. You missed his smell, you missed him. You turned your head down into the sheets to hide your watery eyes. "(Y/n)?" Eli asked softly. He hesitantly rubbed your back.
Why? You squished your eyes closed. Why does he do this... The Seer would never make an act towards you, but when you pushed yourself in, he would love to converse. "If you really don't like me anymore, just kick me out please." You muttered, a shake in your voice. His caring gesture stopped and the air got thick. "I- I don't, dislike you..." He replied quietly.
"Th-then why don't you wanna hang out anymore?" You cried gently. "I miss you." The Seer tensed you at your words. He missed you too, he missed you so much he could barley hold in a wail. He wanted to tell you how much he loved you but- he couldn't. Not like this.
"I miss you too... I just-..." You sat up and looked at him. Your face was pained, but you kept composure. "I want to give you and Aesop your space." His voice was reluctant and heavy. Like just saying that twisted his insides.
Your eyes widened. Could you tell him about your rocky relationship? You could, you could trust him, but a part of you feared the worse. What if he thought you were in the wrong, and that's why it didn't work out. Your mind collected many horrible thoughts of the outcome, before you just decided to crawl up to the Seer, and wrap your arms around him.
