"Are you sure you don't want any help (Y/n)?" Your friend Emily stood next to you, ready to work, she was the hardest worker here. You would feel bad if you bothered her with your own chores, her tattered uniform already telling you she's worked all day. "No I'm fine but thank you." You kindly declined the beckoning girl. She hesitantly nodded and left.
You were currently tending the gardens right now. It was almost always empty, so Martha would ask why you even bothered to make it look pretty. You simply told her that the idea of keeping the garden in good shape was just a good feeling. The thought of having a bad day and coming to the garden for comfort and seeing all the beauty it had to offer was a warming thought.
Martha worked inside most of the time, mopping the floors and shining them to the upmost sparkle they could be.
There was also Lucky, he dusted and assisted the others occasionally including yourself. Every nicknack and glass, not a spec of dust on them was ever found. His outfit was at first a distraction to Martha, Emily, and Aesop, also yourself, but it became the norm so no one really cared anymore.
Now Emily and Aesop were the most amazing people you've ever met. Hardworking and pushing through everything to reach the goals of satisfaction. There outfits were always covered in dirt and ripped. They were fixed almost every day, but as they worked and worked and the outfits ripped and ripped, they were just left that way.
Then there was you. You were in charge of the gardens appearance, and you also served food, and did requests. Your Master was a nice man, he was not too demanding or too soft to be pushed around. He was perfect. Although you and your fellow staff of four people did find his appearance to be a little off.
Your Master had the ears and tail of a wolf. Even his eyes were a sharp slit and blue all around. You were the only one to see him so often. He was always in his study, littered with books and papers with almost anything and everything on them. He had picked you out to be the one to serve him, though you weren't sure why. Surely anyone else here would be a better server than yourself? Maybe he thought you didn't contribute as much as the others?
It worries you to death of why he chose you, but you would never dare ask your intimidating Master. Whenever he called for you, his piercing eyes would lock onto yours. You would want to look away but you feared that would be disrespectful, despite the fear that always found its way to you.
You were done for the day, gardens tended and full of color. You huffed proudly at your hard work, admiring the flowers. You never got time to enjoy them, as you were so focused on making them look presentable. But in your time of admiring the roses, a blue one came into view. You didn't know how it got there, against the lovely shades of red, surely you would have noticed.
You walked up to it and admired the deep enticing color, and all of a sudden your Masters eyes flashed in your mind. Against his appearance, you always loved his eyes and the way they popped out from all the grey. That's one of the reasons you loved serving him.
Master would love this! In an instant you grabbed some tools from the shed and made your way back to the rose. Touching it delicately, you cut the flower from its stem. You hoped it would grow back again. You ran inside and into the kitchen, looking for a vase. You looked and looked- Gotcha! Your hands pulled a thin glass vase with designs engraved on it out of the dusty cabinet.
Quickly dusting it off you placed the flower inside and gently poured water inside. It was beautiful! You were sure Master would love it! In fact Emily was there in the kitchen. She was cooking the food you would soon deliver to your Master. Her eyes drifted to your jumping form. "Why so excited (Y/n)?" She asked, flipping the pancake. You admired the perfect golden color before answering her. "Look at this flower! It's the same color as Master's eyes so I thought he'd like it!" You cheered. You started preparing the tray and glass of milk. "You really like Master, don't you?" She said almost envious.
