Sorry friends! Bunii has been focusing on school recently and trying to get her work done before midterms so not many stories unfortunately! ( ' ' ) Here is this one, I hope you like it. It is getting cold out, so be sure to stay warm!
________

"Brrrr!" Emma chattered as she rubbed her shoulders. Emily came over and covered her with another blanket. "Sorry Emma, but Tracy and Luca are doing their best to fix the heat as we speak."

Today it was freezing in the manor. Not deathly, but nothing everyone was quite used to yet. Summer had ended, so the days were growing colder. "(Y/n) dear can you go see if anyone needs anything?" Emily called and you nodded. "I'll make a big pot of soup for everyone so be ready for that!" She called as you left.

You walked around for a while, everyone you checked being fine and taking care of themselves. So you walked to the lounge, in hopes to relax a little even if it was chilly. But as you walked in it seemed it was already occupied. "Hello Aesop!" You closed the door behind you and walked in nonchalantly. Though he seemed anything but nonchalant. He visibly tensed up at your arrival and gave a nervous look. "Hello.."

Aesop definitely wasn't a people person, hence him being alone in the lounge. It seemed he started the fire on his own accord, otherwise if everyone had known about it they'd be here in no time. His jumpy behavior made you feel like you were an invasion of privacy, but the fire called to you and your shaking arms. "It's okay I'll keep the fire a secret, but I hope you don't mind if I stay?" You walked to the couch and waited for his response before sitting. If he really was uncomfortable with you here, you'd leave within a snap of a finger.

"N-no it's alright, I expected people to wander in anyways..." His eyes finally rested back on his book but you could still sense his anxiety. "Thank you." You looked to the couch before deciding the floor would be better. This way you could be closer to the fire. You put your hands up and melted into the warmth, but you almost forgot Aesop had started it. "Thank you Aesop."

He jumped at your words and peeked from around his book. "F-for what?" You gestured to the fire happily, the warmth already lifting your mood. "Oh, y-you're welcome..." He mumbled the last bit, not used to getting thanks very often. You pitied Aesop as he went back to reading. He declared he didn't know how to deal with people, but after being here for so long you had decided that wasn't the case. He did know how to deal with people, it's just no one bothered to deal with him. He knew how to keep composure and practically spewed etiquette and mannerism when the boys even got a little out of hand.

Your eyes drifted to him uncontrollably, yet you maintained the direction of your head so it wouldn't be blatantly obvious you were staring. Aesop was... very good looking. He had a wonderful face shape, and he was quite tall. If only he had the moves, or even confidence at that. You believed that whichever lucky girl would have Aesop, she probably made the first move. He's too kind and gentle to even think of such affection.

But as you thought about him with a complete stranger, you couldn't help but shift your face into a scowl. You wanted to make the first move on him, and hold his hand dear. You could take care of him-! You'd make sure you took very good care of him! ... if you were lucky enough that is....

"Is something wrong (Y/n)?"

Your eyes widened and you came back to reality. You ended up turning your head directly at him in all your thinking. Your cheeks flushed, as if he knew what you were thinking about. "N-no! I'm sorry I was just lost in thought!" You smiled wearily and he hummed. You looked to the fire in shambles, can't believing you let your head even turn the slightest degrees towards him.

Curse this heat now! You were sweating from that embarrassing exchange with him so this fire was not helping. It was too hot now! You begrudgingly snuck a peek at Aesop, completely ignoring what just happened before. But as you kept looking you noticed him right in front of the window. It was freezing outside, so being next to a window must've been chilling.

"Aesop aren't you cold?" You asked with worry, catching him off guard. "N-not really, it's not that cold..." You jumped, and in response to your quick action he jumped as well. "Really!?" You stood up and walked towards him as he shrunk in the comfy chair. He nodded.

"Can you help me then?" Yes (Y/n), make moves!

"Wi-with what?" His eyes shifted everywhere but to your own, his heart thumping immensely at your close proximity. "I was uhm-! My thoughts! I was thinking about something super embarrassing I did today- so I got nervous and sweaty, the fire... made it worse."

You shuffled in place nervously. You really just said something like that, and you were a flustered mess. "H-how would I take part in helping you?" You sat on your knees and leaned on the arm of the chair. "Well, I brushed my hand against yours once before, and I took note that you were quite cold though it doesn't seem you notice." A fierce blush crossed his cheeks at your statement. Not only for touching his hand, but the fact that his skin was as cold as snow. "Could you- hold my face?" You rose your own hands to your cheeks in order to show him how. His eyes widened for a moment before he sat up and began to nervously ramble. "I- I- I don't think you want my hands specifically! My hands are the worst! B-besides you don't want me to touch your face I-!"

"Please! I'm having a heatstroke this is so embarrassing- I'm trying to get close to you-!"

Your cheeks flushed and Aesop was red. "You're trying to get intimate with me?!" Your expression was blank as you stayed quiet, both you and Aesop staring at each other with over the top blushes.

"Ahhhhhhh!" You both collapsed onto the floor screamed into your hands. You fell on the floor into a little ball and held your face as Aesop also groaned into his hands from the embarrassment. "I-! I don't wanna get intimate- I wanna hold your hands please!"

Aesop rose his head slightly and turned to you. "Why me?" He said softly, a bit of a shake in his voice. Your eyes popped open and you sat up turning to him as well. "B-because your hands are cold-"

"N-no! Why? The m-manor is already so cold, you could walk out of this room and be fine, but you're choosing me as your resolve." His voice was serious, and it made your breath hitched for a moment. Was he upset? Aesop however read your expression and quickly waved his hands. "N-not that I have a problem with it! I- I just don't know why you'd want to even be with me."

Your eyes widened and in a panic like none you'd felt before, you crawled up to Aesop instantly and reached for his droopy face. "Why not you?" You held his face in your warm hands, and he looked at you with empathy. So many emotions skimming through his eyes. "Because I'm..." It seemed he decided to spare you his self pity, as he turned and smiled to you, the bottom up his eyes turning upright.

"I don't want to make your hands cold." He said softly, glancing from your face. You reached for his hands instantly and held them hard and secure. You smiled to him sweetly. "I have enough warmth for both of us." You leaned forward to his face and his eyes widened. "(Y/n)-!" You fell atop him onto the floor, and laid your head on his chest. "I'll keep you warm." You said quietly, the chill from Aesop finally calming your temperature.

He slowly raised his hands, and placed them around your waist. He enjoyed your warmth, and the feeling of your head on his chest. He enjoyed you, and with the embrace of one another you both relaxed in the peace of the crackling fire.

"Thank you (Y/n)."
