Part 24

Y/N POV-

Days had passed since they found out I wasn't going to recover from this.
I was training hard everyday and spending all my time trying to keep my body strong in case one day it decided to give up on me.

I'd helped Wanda back to health, her scar was starting to heal and her heart was looking good. I took her off bed rest so she could spend time elsewhere. I'd told everyone not to touch her because she was still tender and I also kept her off all missions, no matter how small they were.

Nat didn't want to speak to me, she would be with me whilst I was training but she'd just watch. Sometimes Wanda would watch as well and I was never sure why they did this but I never complained, if they wanted to watch then I would let them.

I got up early and decided to train again, it made me feel good even when my body didn't want me to.
Carol is already training when I arrive
Y/N- hey, I thought you were saving another planet?
Carol- came back when I heard you weren't doing too good and I thought I'd keep you away from people worrying so much
Y/N- I just want people to treat me like I'm okay
Carol- but you aren't okay, they don't know when they're gonna lose you
Y/N- you're right so shut up and fight me

I had been working hard and I taught Carol a lot of what she knew, we had been sparring for an hour or so when Nat and Wanda came in to watch us.
Carol catches me off guard and lands a punch to my stomach laying me flat on the ground.
An overwhelming feeling arises as I rush to the bathroom.
Head over the toilet being violently sick is not what I had intended today but that's how it was going to go.

Wanda- oh god babe, are you okay?
I can't even get any words out and I throw up even more
Wanda- don't worry, I'm here so let it all out and you'll feel better
Nat places her hand on my neck before turning the shower to cold
Wanda- what are you doing?
Nat- she's burning up, this will cool her down

Nat POV-

I wait till Y/N stops throwing up and she looks a mess, I drag her into the shower and push her in. The freezing cold water runs down her body, soaking through her clothes. She's trying to resist the shower but I get in with her, holding her in place so she can't leave.

Y/N- let go of me!
Nat- I'm not giving up on you
Y/N- why not? We all know I'm going to die any day now so why are you wasting your time! I am nothing anymore, I can't do what I love. My powers don't work, my head is a mess and I look horrendous. I'm no longer the person you fell in love with and I don't know why you are bothering.

I look at Wanda, tears rolling down her face as Y/N breaks down in my arms. We hadn't really talked about the whole dying thing, we wanted to avoid the topic as much as possible to keep her happy but I think it was the right time to do it.

I help her out of the shower and Wanda wraps a towel around her handing me one in the process.
I get changed out of my wet clothes handing Y/N some new ones to put on as well

Nat- we need to talk about what you want?
Y/N- huh?
Nat- your funeral, I want it to be perfect for you
Y/N- I don't want one
Nat- that's not an option, you are going to have one and it will be perfect
Wanda- maybe leave it Nat
Y/N- keep it simple, bright colours and cheerful music
Nat- okay, I can do that

Y/N sits on the bed and doesn't say much, since this all came to life she had been quiet. I think she was getting stuck in her head and didn't know what to do to get out of it.
Nat- what are you thinking?
Y/N- I want to see my family before I die
Nat- you know we can't find them
Wanda- we've tried everything and they are nowhere to be seen
Y/N- just because you can't find them, doesn't mean I can't

She goes to stand but loses balance quickly placing her hand on the wall to keep her balance.
Nat- woah steady there
Y/N- it's okay, I just stood up too quickly
Wanda- where are you going?
Y/N- I need my computer, I've got a message to send
Wanda- I could've got that for you
Y/N- it's not that computer

We both follow her into her room and she takes a computer from inside the air conditioning unit
Wanda- umm do we even want to know?
Y/N- I'm done with lying to you, I'm the Ghost and this is how people contact me
Wanda's face drops as she looks at me
Nat- way to break the news
Y/N- yeah whatever, she would've figured it out eventually
Wanda- did you know?
I just nod
Wanda- this is what you were arguing about
Y/N- yep, she hated me for it and I understand why

The computer loads and she opens up a chat room typing a message in quickly
Y/N- No time left, need to see you.
She clicks send and then closes the computer, putting it back where it came from
Nat- how do you know they'll get it?
Y/N- I don't, I just have to hope
