Part 51

Time passed.
Thanos had gone quiet but we kept Vision in hiding and I kept track of the stones locations as much as possible.

Natasha and I had redecorated the house, it was everything to us now. The whole place was perfect for us.
We loved it there and spent half our time there whilst the rest was spent at the compound.
The avengers would come round for dinner all the time, they just couldn't leave us alone.

Noah and Elijah had taken some time off, moving into my house in England. They were tracking the remaining people who did this to us, no more experiments would be run by them and they were going to make sure of it.
Bucky had gone to Wakanda after an accident on a mission. It was the best place for him to train and he needed a new arm, the other had been seriously damaged.

Wanda and Vision were safe in Edinburgh, she hadn't given an answer. It had been over a year since I asked so part of me took it as a no, I was disappointed but I had a perfect woman who loved me with everything. 

We were at the compound running a training day, I was checking everyone's scores on the tests and because I was running it, it meant I didn't have to do it. They didn't like me for that.
Y/N- keep running children
Tony- I'm going to kill you
Y/N- you won't be able to catch me with how slow you're going
I heard Sam laugh so much that he nearly tripped off the treadmill causing a domino effect of laughter from the rest.

FRIDAY- Unexpected landing outside.
I threw the clipboard down and teleported outside, blue waves leaving my hands as the door lowered allowing me to see a familiar figure.
Nebula- he killed her
Y/N- who?
Nebula- Thanos took Gamora to Vormir but returned with the stone.
Y/N- what how?
Nebula- she must have tried to stop him.

Tony- who the hell is this?
I turn around and his arm is raised, repulsors charged and ready
Y/N- stand down, she's with me
Tony- not gonna happen
Y/N- Stop before I make you.
I flash my eyes black at him and he falls back.
Nebula- The Nova Corps failed Y/N, he's got 4 stones.

Thanos was back and he was on a mission, he was going for the stones.
I walked inside and the others followed. I was a lot quicker than them so when they entered I wasn't in sight but somehow, Natasha knew exactly where I would be.

Nat- babe, what is happening?
Y/N- he's got the four of the stones, we need to get to Edinburgh now.
Nat- okay, I'll get Steve and Sam
I pack my bag up and run down the stairs, Tony stood waiting for me.
Y/N- you need to go here, tell the time keeper I sent you and that the day is here. He will know what to do.
Tony- what about you!
Y/N- I need to protect Vision.

We set the jet on auto pilot so it would meet us there but we couldn't waste any time.
Everyone grabbing hold of me as I took a deep breath, our location changing as we saw the broken windows and damaged streets.
Shouting could be heard and I could feel Wanda in my head, trying to communicate with me.

I used her strength as a pinpoint, grabbing hold of everyone as we saw her stood there defending Vision.
Steve- I'll distract them, you get them out of here
Nat- copy that.

The spear was thrown at Steve and he caught it with ease, Natasha and Sam throwing punches and attacking the aliens as I made my way over to Vision and Wanda.
Proximus- she is here, the one we need
Y/N- Wanda, get him to safety now. I'll keep these guys back as long as possible. The jet is landing at these coordinates. Get in it and leave, don't look back
Wanda- thank you

I stand up without another word turning round to face the enemy.
Y/N- so what do I owe this pleasure? What do I get to call you?
PM- this is Corvus and I'm midnight, but you won't remember that when we are done with you
Y/N- what do you need with me?
PM- you know where the stone is and we need that information
Y/N- oh that's it? A piece of information which will destroy the world? Yeah over my dead body.
PM- we can make that happen.

Fists flying at my face as Midnight attacks, her spear slicing the back of my leg open as I drop to the floor. Her hand wraps around my throat as I start to laugh, blood covering my teeth and mouth
Midnight- is death funny to you?
Y/N- I'm only the distraction

Natasha using the spear to stab Corvus. The massive creature dropping to the floor as Midnight let's go of me and rushes to his aid. A beam coming from the sky as they disappear.

Nat- are you okay?
Y/N- peachy.
Steve- what was rhat?
Y/N- that's the beginning of the war, he is ready.
Sam- where are Vision and Wanda?

I turn around, the noise startling me. Wanda stood there, Vision holding onto her.
The shock covered her face as she saw the beating I took, Steve and Nat helping me hobble back towards the jet.
Nat- stay in touch and don't cause trouble, what happened to that?
Wanda- I'm sorry
Nat- you're lucky she's switched on, you'd both be dead otherwise

I could see them talking but I couldn't hear them, I was too busy sorting out my wounds. Stitches in the back of my leg after I cleaned the wound. I wrapped it before cleaning my face, Nat coming over and wiping away a couple patches I missed.
Y/N- how is she?
Nat- shaken but thankful for you
Y/N- I would've done it for anyone
Nat- you could've died
Y/N- I've got the best team supporting me.

We arrived back at base, I hobbled inside as Steve and Sam helped Vision in.
Rhodey- wow, you guys look like shit
Y/N- rough day, Tony?
Rhodey- he never came back, only Bruce is back. He said Peter and the Dr disappeared.
Y/N- we need to get the stone out of his head
Vision- I'm willing to make the sacrifice
Wanda- No.
Steve- we don't trade lives here
Vision- Y/N has tried multiple times
Nat- she's an idiot, that's why.

I just shrugged my shoulders, I wasn't going to argue with that logic.
Steve- I know where we have to go. If anyone can removed that then it's them
Y/N- Wakanda?
Steve- Wakanda.
Y/N- gear up, we leave in 20 minutes.
