Tony- Time Travel?
Y/N- it's possible, I've spoken to Scott and Brucehulk, they say with the right parts and safety that we can do it. But we need you Tony, you're the only one who can figure this out
Tony- you have a bigger IQ than me, figure it out yourself
Y/N- this isn't my area tones, I need you.
Tony- I'm not doing it, I'm not willing to risk everything ive got here. Morgan is everything to me
Y/N- and Ben is everything to me but there are so many people out there who lost people they cared about. How would you feel if someone took Morgan away from you and you couldn't get her back?
Tony- that's never going to happen?
Y/N- but it did, other people felt that pain.

I stood up, walking away from him. I knew that no matter what I was going to say that he wouldn't agree.
Tony- I'm sorry Y/N but I can't risk it
Y/N- just think about it, please?
Tony- yeah, now are you staying for dinner? Pepper would kill me if I didn't ask
Y/N- thanks but I've got the needy twins to get back to
Tony- how are they?
Y/N- Nat is as mysterious as ever but we are good and Ben is just the happiest child I've ever met
Tony- keep it like that, don't let the sorrow of the world take that away from him.

The drive home was long, normally I'd teleport to places but I needed the drive today. I really thought he'd help us, he wanted Peter back as much as I did but I understood why he won't.
He's scared of losing Morgan, the same way in scared is losing Ben.

Nat was asleep on the sofa when I arrived home, I didn't realise how late it was in the end.
I picked her up bridal style and carried her to bed, taking off her jeans and shirt so she could be more comfortable. She snuggled into the bed as I laid down next to her
Nat- when did you get back?
Y/N- not long ago babe, go back to sleep.
She rolled her head onto my chest and I wrapped my arms around her back.

I woke up in the same position, her eyes were already open as she was watching me
Y/N- you're so creepy
Nat- am I not allowed to admire the mother of my child?
Y/N- only when she's awake then it's cute otherwise, completely creepy.

I headed downstairs to make breakfast, Nat would wake Ben up and get him ready. We were all going to the compound, I was going to work whilst Steve and Nat took Ben to the park. Clint was going to join them.
Nat- you never told me how your talk with him went?
Y/N- went down like a lead balloon. He wasn't interested
Nat- can you do it without him?
Y/N- I don't know the fabric of time travel and the dimensional speed calculations are way over my head.
Nat- yeah no, I didn't understand a word of that
Y/N- dumbass
Ben- Dumbass

I could feel her eyes burning through my soul, the one thing I agreed with her was to stop the swearing or calling her names but that one slipped out
Y/N- please don't kill me
Ben- don't be a dumbass momma
I tried so hard to hold back my laughter but I couldn't, Ben joined in with his little giggling as Natasha looked angry.

We arrived at the compound, she hadn't said another word to me. Ben and I enjoyed having a little sing song but she didn't join in.
Steve- hey Ben
Ben- Hello Captain Dumbass
Steve- Language!
Nat- I apologise for his choice of words, there seems to be someone who doesn't check who is in the room before saying things
Steve looks at me and instantly, I point to Natasha. She huffs at my actions.
Nat- I actually married a child
Y/N- you love me really
Nat- unfortunately, now go be a nerd.

Hours passed and I had made little to no progress on time travel.
I needed air, fresh air. Standing outside the compound, the birds tweeting and car engine roaring.
The car gets nearer as Tony pulls up.
Y/N- what are you doing here?
Tony- we did it, your plan was brilliant but I made it better
Y/N- of course you did
He steps out the car handing me a bracelet
Y/N- what's this?
Tony- that is what will get us to time travel, we just need to build the platform
Y/N- what are we waiting for?
Tony- call everyone here, we need as many hands as possible

The platform build was slow, everyone was arriving at different times but I had enough power to start moving the heavy items into place. Tony was stood yelling instructions as he always does.
It was getting late when the door opened but I didn't care, I was focused on completing the wiring.
Nat- are you coming to bed?
Y/N- I'm busy
Nat- whatever
Something was wrong.
I rolled the small cart out and rushed after Natasha grabbing her hand twirling her around to face me

Y/N- what's wrong beautiful?
Nat- I can't even stay angry at you when you call me that
Y/N- what did I do wrong?
Nat- you've been building that for hours and you've ignored me and our child. All he wanted to do was tell you about his day at the park
Y/N- I'm sorry, I'll make it up to him
Nat- no you won't, go save the world.

She walked off leaving me alone in the corridor. Usually I would follow her, we always agreed to never go to bed angry at each other but this was different. It didn't feel like our usual argument.
I packed away the lab before heading to bed, Natasha was reading whilst Ben was fast asleep in his bed.
Y/N- you didn't have to wait up
Nat- we don't go to bed angry
Y/N- I'm sorry for ignoring you
Nat- I'm sorry for shouting
I sat in bed next to her, her head resting on my shoulder
Nat- is it going to work?
Y/N- I hope so but everyone needs to play their part otherwise I'm out of ideas.
Nat- can you explain it to me?
Y/N- in the morning babe, you need some rest.
