Part 47

The wind was flowing through the car, Windows down and music blaring.
This was freedom, this was what I'd been wanting all the time I was locked up at Hydra. Coming back here felt the same, the avengers wanted to protect me but I felt trapped.

J.A.I- incoming call from Robogeek
I pull the car over, I didn't want the distraction whilst driving
Y/N- yes Stark?
Tony- get back here, we've got a mission
Y/N- I'll turn around and be with you soon
Tony- hurry up.

I turn the car around and head back, everyone already waiting in the meeting room.
I stand at the back in silence not wanting to interrupt.
Fury- we found the base Hydra are working out of, the plan is to take them down once and for all. Y/N are you okay doing this?
All eyes were on me, I leaned back against the wall and I didn't know what to say
Tony- Y/N?
Y/N- I'll be fine.

Narrator POV-

The plan was complete and you studied it on the jet, everyone doing their own things as J.A.I loaded the blueprints into a simulator allowing you to see the exterior and the interior of the building.

The plan was clear, sweep the building and gather as much information as possible. Destroy their servers and take the building down with it.
You were going in with Noah and Elijah, whilst Nat went in with Bucky and Carol.
The others were going to defend the outside in order to keep the attention away from you.

Nat- are you ready for this?
She walks over and takes the seat next to you, her hand on your knee.
Y/N- honestly, I'm scared. What happens if they get me again?
Nat- I won't let that happen
Y/N- you can't be sure of that
Nat- I will do everything I can to make sure you come back as the person who I am sat with right now, I won't let them mess with your head again.

The jet lands as the teams separate, your brothers pulling you into a tight hug as memories flash back to you.
Y/N- nothing stupid, we all come home together
Noah- Together
Elijah- Stay Fluid.
Y/N- love you brothers
Noah- we love you too
Elijah- always and forever.
Noah- I didn't think you'd remember
Y/N- it all came back...

The mission is a go and you infiltrate through the back door, sweeping your way through the building. Your team head up to the second floor whilst Nat's team clears the bottom floor.
You grab as much data from the computers as possible before wiping the hard drives clean.
A voice makes you jump as you spin around, gun raised
26- put it down Virtue
Y/N- that's not me

You lower your gun, holstering it on your hip.
Y/N- I was told you disappeared, never to be seen again
26- just something to keep people away from me, I'm here for a reason V
Y/N- let me guess, world domination?
26- you.
Y/N- I'm done with Hydra, I'm finally back with my family
26- but we aren't done with you, Virtue will be reborn and will end the Avengers once and for all.
Y/N- that's going to be a pass, I've got too many things to do

He throws the first punch as you duck under, your leg connecting to the back of his thigh. Dropping down, you swing an arm but his elbow meets your ribs, the blow rendering your breathless.
You readjust your stance, fists at the ready as your brothers run in.
Y/N- keep going, I'll deal with him
Noah- copy, call us if you need help.

The moment of distraction was enough for 26 to get the upper hand, his fist connecting with your face as you stumble backward. Wiping the blood from your nose, you can see him smiling, his mask only covering the top half of his face.
26- face it Virtue, you cannot beat me. I trained you, I know what you're thinking before you do
Y/N- stop calling me that
His fist reconnects to your jaw, the noise of the bone shattering filled the air.

The anger flows through your body, eyes darkening as your fists tighten. The blue fragments moving out of your hands, wrapping themselves tightly around 26. You throw him against the wall as the building starts to rumble
Nat- Y/N, come in
You couldn't reply
Nat- the building is coming down, get out of there now
Thinking to yourself, you programme a message back from J.A.I
J.A.I- Y/N needs Wanda at the south side window immediately. One prisoner coming out. She will sweep the building for anyone else.

I give a couple minutes for the signal and throw 26 out of the window, Wanda catches him with her powers before taking him to the cell on the jet.
Eli- I'm stuck, help...
Y/N programmed in again - Sorry T, J.A.I hack the comms and locate Eli
J.A.I- location added to glasses, follow directions

You start to run through the building, warnings coming when the building starts to shift again. Rolling under live wires and jumping through blocked doorways, you made your way to Eli. A piece of cement trapping his leg
Y/N- okay here goes nothing

You take a deep breathe, the blue strands lighting the dim room. They wrap around the concrete, slowly edging it off of Eli's body. Your hands wrapped under his broad shoulders as you pull him from underneath the rubble.
J.A.I- Y/N is on her way out, Eli needs medical.
Steve- copy, waiting for your arrival.

Getting out of the building wasn't easy, Eli was a big guy so you dragged him behind you as your powers cleared the path ahead. Upon reaching the door, Steve took over as he and Bucky helped Eli up, walking him over to the jet.

You hand over the Thumb Drive to Tony who takes it with a smile on his face, you follow behind as the building finally falls in on itself. The noise hiding what was happening.

One minute you were walking back, the next, all you could see was the sky fading away.
