See You Alive is nearly halfway through, and Eyesore is 3-5 chapters away from the end. That's fucking wild. I planned to finish Eyesore a year after I started writing and uh... clearly that didn't happen. And hey, that's fine! This is a hobby for me, I can be as slow as I want. But what this means is I'll be able to start working on new projects. I've explained them in this book before but I have more detail now.
Obviously there'll be the next book in my au, set in RiverClan from Dovepaw's perspective. But I have some other works I wanna write. I'm working on the Empires roleplay, and Aquiver and Maplepaw's book. FINALLY.
I won't be writing the BlackbirdNight fic. For a long time I've felt obligated to write it since I've talked about it since, like, 2017, and have planned it out. But I'm not interested anymore. Sorry to let anyone down but it's just not something I wanna write.
But what I do want to write is an apprentice rebellion but it all goes horribly wrong and it turns very lord of the flies. potentially. The Clan society is unjust, a stark divide between the privileged and the lower class. This might change, the main premise is that there's something blatantly wrong with this society. Mosquitopaw knows this. Plenty of cats know this, but the problems have gotten worse and the young cats are getting angrier. But the higher ups aren't seeming to do anything about it.
Cats have tried to fix the problem, but nothing has worked. Mosquitopaw starts a rebellion, as you do. Fuck it, you do what you have to do to make people listen.
A bunch of apprentices and young warriors, even some older warriors join her, they say "fuck them old guys" and start their own Clan. And then everything goes horribly wrong. Keeping it vague for the sake of spoilers but also because I don't know yet. I have very little planned but here's some of the main characters + some very rushed aesthetics.
Mosquitopaw: the og Needletail. Catra but less angst, more vigilante. Angry lesbian. a bitch and I love her. she'll kick your ass. she'll kick your dog's ass. she'll kick her own ass. the kid just wants to change the world and she thinks she's the best for the job. she's all or nothing. she either doesn't care or she'd set the world on fire for the things she loves.

Mushroompaw: Mosquitopaw's long suffering best friend. They have to deal with all her shit and try to be the voice of reason. she never listens. mushroompaw wants a simple life, but they're never gonna get it, not with the friends they've made. but they'd never abandon their friends, they'd follow them to the end of the earth. but they know when to say no, and they find themselves saying it a lot. that's the price to pay with being mosquitopaw's friend!

Brookpaw: the world's biggest mess. heiress to the clan. spoiled princess with anxiety levels that could kill someone in an active war zone. simultaneously has a raging god complex and horrifically insecure. someone needs to invent cat therapy bc god does she need it. previously bffs with mozzie until some massive falling out I haven't decided yet and now they hate each other...haha. yeah. hates the word for it
