The best writing advice I can ever give

Find a book or series that you really hate. Preferably in the genre you'd like to write a book about. Find a book that makes you go "why the fuck was this published?? How??" Bonus points if it has a large fanbase.

Now use this as fuel. Run on that rahe. Be so utterly furious about this shithole of a book that it inspires you to write purely out of spite. Be so goddamn mad about this book that you simply have to write to outdo it. "If they can publish such a foul book, so can I. And I'll make my book the fucking best book anyone's ever seen." Ups your confidence too.

I'm joking but honestly?? A+ writing advice. Very realistic.

Seriously, it really works for me. The Mortal Instruments inspires me to work on my original ideas so much. I despise those books. And I happen to own every single one because I went through a terribly embarrassing TMI phase. Cassandra Clare's writing is trash and so is she. If you like the series...just search up why it's so bad lmao I can't stand those books. Even better, it has a large fanbase so it gives me so much more confidence in my own abilities.
