coolcoolcool I have two new fics I want to write on top of all my other fics that I don't have time to write.
I really want to write a fic set in SkyClan, but like,, my version of SkyClan. SkyClan were basically ThunderClan but high jumpers and I feel like they were a huge missed opportunity with worldbuilding. I got SkyClan on the most reliable "what Clan are you" quiz I found so now I've decided SkyClan is my favourite Clan. Consider this: SkyClan live in the treetops like squirrels. They chase owls out of their hollows and make their dens in the trees. Warriors can make construct woven nests made of twigs and reed and such and sleep on stable branches like birds. They snatch eggs from birds and hunt them when they're perching. They chase after squirrels and will steal prey from large birds. They occasionally drop to the forest floor to get mice and voles whenever prey is scarce.
And fighting with them - fighting SyClan is like battling the sky itself. They drop down from trees, race at you from above, they're incredibly nimble from living in the trees.Another idea was a Wolves of the Beyond fic. I've never read Guardians of Ga'hoole (?? Spelling??) But I loved the WotB series. Sure, it's incredibly unrealistic and Faolan is pretty Mary Sue-ish but it's a really interesting world and great plot and writing for the most part! I was reading Starstruck by piperstones (AMAZING fic) and it reminded me of the secret society of female wolves in WotB. There's a Clan of wolves that are very cruel and misogynistic, and frequently abuse the she-wolves in their Clan. Another Clan was formed by a female who was once in that Clan who ran away. This Clan became one of the most respected Clans and is primarily female, and are accepting towards those with disabilities and such. (WotB is a very ableist society)
Anyway there's a secret society type of thing within the first Clan, the MacHeaths for abused females who want to escape to the second Clan, the MacNamaras. They have a secret language however most don't make the journey. Either way I'm interested in writing a fic from an abused female's perspective about her running refuge to the MacNamaras. I don't think I'll actually write this one (or maybe just a one-shot) but it's in my head!
