Tw for self harm, and suicide. This is about my cat, I promise lol.
I don't know how she does it but whenever I'm having a Bad Time with my mental illnesses my cat just knows? She always comes for cuddles when I need it.
Like, after my suicide attempt, when I came back from the hospital, she came and slept with me for the first time in months, and hung around me the next day while I was dealing with the consequences of the overdose, then came and cuddled AGAIN when I got back from hospital the second time.
On top of that, every "near-miss incident" I've had since, she's been with me. Every time I've had to call the crisis team, she's come to me. Every time I went to attempt again and didn't, she was there.
When I started on antidepressants, they'd give me bad stomach pains, and she would lie on me or next to me when I had them.
Whenever I sh badly and am worrying about it, she comes for cuddles.
