I have no motivation to write but I have MORE book ideas.
But here's some things I'm thinking about anyway:
- a prophecy/quest book but TWIST: it's about a bunch of elders. Elders are cool, fuck you guys.
No, think about it:
- cute elder romances
- SAD elder romances because they'll have lost mates before and they're still grieving and figuring out if it's okay to love again
- Ageism
- They'd have so much life experience. That makes them really interesting characters!
- They have a unique perspective
Elders are cool, do I need to say more?- I've mentioned this before but a Harry Potter fanfic solely with ocs. Characters include a squib, a veela, a metamorphmagus, and some /interesting/ witches and wizards.
Squibs are so interesting. The way they're treated in wizarding society is disgusting.
- There's a number of things they can still do in this world - history of magic, care of magical creatures, herbology, ancient times, muggle studies, etc. They could even play fucking quidditch if they wanted to.
- They're, in a way, like some disabled people. They're living in a world that was designed for wixen (abled people) and experience a lot of limitations. But they exist. They're valid individuals. Squib rights!Veela.
- First of all, they turn into harpies when they're angry which is hella cool.
- The sexualization of Veela is really interesting and can be a good parallel/call out of female sexualization and victim blaming.
- Also I'm a dumb bi and hot girl! Character.Metamorphmagus
- what are the limits they can change into? Are there any rules? WHAT'S THE WORLDBUILDING
- How would metamorphmaguses fit into the HP world? I'd imagine being able to change your appearance at will would have a hell of a lot of advantages, especially with crime.
- Idk they just really appeal to me as someone who struggles with body dysmorphiaFor the others, I'd like to include wizarding students from somewhere that isn't Hogwarts, plus include some things about Hogwarts house prejudice (mainly against Hufflepuff and Slytherin) and people from the houses betraying their stereotypes.
(All those hp houses textposts really piss me off. What's with the whole "innocent and always so sweet and kind" Hufflepuff? Since when can't kind and innocent be mutually exclusive? You don't have to be kind to be fair and hard-working. And all the perceptions of the other houses are just as bad.)Problem is I don't have a fucking plot
A fanfic about apprentice rebellion, like what happened in ShadowClan, but where they actually succeed. Because that was SO COOL and there were so many opportunities that the Erin's didn't take.
The apprentices get to rebuild their own Clan, but then it all goes haywire...Lord of the Flies style.
I can't wait to write this because my main gal Mosquitopaw will be the protagonist and I love her so much she's such a bitch
