Sometimes I think people forget this is a writing site, not an aesthetic site. Don't get me wrong, I like aesthetics as much as anyone else, though you can't tell from my profile, but I feel like people sideline writing for aesthetic sometimes. People get followers for how pretty their profiles look over their writing skills, which really irks me. Don't get me wrong, making graphics is a skill. It really is. But that's what instagram is for. I like using social medias for multiple purposes (Roleplaying/writing in insta, for example) but there's a primary purpose for each app, you know?

I also really hate when people do this solely for followers. I see people on here doing nothing but complaining that they don't get followers or reads, and you know, I get it. It's so discouraging when you write and you don't get that many reads/comments. I struggle with it with Eyesore because I compare it to the attention Saving Sable got. But I keep writing because I want to! And I'm lucky enough to get a lot of reads and comments regardless and I'm so grateful.
But seriously. I see so many "logging in and came back to no reads :(" and "x project is getting no reads so I'm discontinuing it" and I just?? Come on. This is a book writing app, not a giant group chat or whatever. It's so good to make friends on here and talk to people. Please do! I've made some of my best friends here. The main issue I hace with this is that people seem to be writing for popularity and I really don't like it. Writing is...so hard to get famous from. Most of the time you don't get recognition, which sucks and shouldn't be the case. If you're just writing for attention, try an different profession. If you want your books to gain more attention,  (valid thing, tbh,) you want more reads and follows, put in the work! Write a lot. Make sure it's good quality. Be interactive and engage with people!

There's aren't major issues or anything they're just little things that have been frustrating me recently. Sorry for the negativity but I wanted to go on a mini rant, haha, and be more active (and personal) in this smb.
