Crystal In the Darkness (Sequel To The Crystal In The Light)

"Sasuke Uchiha"
Team 7,8, and Rock Lee and Tenten
Outskirts of Konoha

"Sasuke, don't be too hasty if you see someone. We will use stealth to kill someone. Do you understand me,Sasuke?" Kakashi asked the ravenette who nodded.

"Hai Kakashi sensei. Understood."

Right now, they were running across the forest. They were running in a formation involving Kakashi and Yamato leading it. Sasuke, Sakura and Sai were just behind them in a straight formation. Behind the mentioned members of Team 7 was Team 8 with Hinata in the center as she had the all seeing eye, the byakugan. They were all tailed by the remaining 2 members, Rock Lee and Tenten.

Suddenly, Kakashi realised that they were being followed by someone. He was just about to ask for volunteers who would like to stand behind when the whole region was also filled with a non poisonous smoke blinding them. Hinata quickly activated her Byakugan and Shino sent insects for the defence. Kiba got ready for Fang to Fang technique.

Shino's insects quickly dispelled the smoke by sucking them. The insects were of special variety which Shino took from his nest.

Once the smoke was dispelled, they were suddenly encountered by bubbles which made Tenten's weapons useless as the kunais, which were sent, got trapped inside the bubbles. The team started dodging with exception of Shino who had another variety of insects to absorb the strange bubbles.

Suddenly, one of the bubbles was about to crash into Hinata when a black blur was seen rushing across the bubble bursting it almost instantly.

"What will Naruto kun of yours think of you if you go to heaven?" The voice remarked.

The konoha nins looked up and saw a blonde sitting on a tree lazily accompanied by an orange masked man. Both of them wore black cloaks with red clouds. The wind lashed against the cloaks. But the blonde figure's cloak was completely different from the orange masked man. Now he wore a loose on with hoodie on his back.

"Silent blonde, what are you doing here?" Sasuke shouted activating his chidori.

"Isn't it obvious? We are sent by the akatsuki to prevent the sealing of the Sanbi into someone we don't know." Tobi said.

"Let's deal with them first. Then we will answer your questions." Naruto said as he lazily burst one of the balloons

He stood up and clenched his fist which shone.

The bubbles again rushed towards Naruto who did nothing as they crashed into him but nothing happened.

"What?! How's that possible? The bubbles should have crashed into him. Kiguiri, use your smoke. We have to re-" Nurari never got to complete his sentence as a crystal blade went through his head piercing it.

Seeing pieces of Brain coming out, Kiguri tried to retreat but suddenly Tobi came out of the ground blocking his way.

When Kigrui tried to stab Tobi, he was shocked to see the kunai blade going through  his face without harming.

And the next moment, he fell to the ground with a hole visible in his chest. It was the handowork of Naruto's rasengan.

"I thought that will be challenging opponents. But nope. Weakness truly disgusts me." Naruto remarked.

"SILENT BLONDE SENPAI! YOU DID IT!" Tobi shouted out of glee with Naruto sighing under his mask.

In the meantime, Kakashi, who witnessed the whole scene playing out was shocked when he saw the Rasengan. "Rasengan? But how?" He thought.

"Kakashi, I know what you are thinking." Kakashi was completely surprised when Silent Blonde spoke. "I got the Rasengan from Naruto's memory which I checked to scan about the crytal techniques."

"You! You stole it?" Kakashi shouted.

"Says the one who copied thousands of jutsus." Kakashi tried to think of a reply but found nothing so he stayed silent.

"Blonde senpai gave a savage reply to copy Ninja." Tobi sang.

"Enough of these, would you now mind telling me why are you, the enemy of 5 elemental nations, standing right in front of us." Sakura shouted.

"Well Sakura, we hate the snake sanin and his ideals. We are here to stop the growing power of Otogakure. After all, we are against the fact that The tailed beast are nothing but weapon. You may shout that I an A hypocrite since I have the Kyuubi inside my body but the truth is that he came into me by mistake while I was involved in the the extraction of the crystal Kekkei Genkai."

"So, what do you propose?" Kakashi asked.

"Well, here is the deal. Have you ever heard of an old saying 'Enemy of my enemy is my friend.' Well that's the reason we are here. We were sent by Leader sama to seal the Three Tailed beast. But it was by chance we met you. Soooo.......what do you think?" Naruto said.

Everyone stayed silent. So Naruto motioned everyone to follow the akatsuki while saying "Nothing? Good. Come on let's go."

30 minutes later

Yamaguchi Lake

Naruto, Tobi and the Konoha entourage soon reached their destination right in time to see Kabuto and others boarding a small boat.

"I suggest that we should divide ourselves into two groups......" Naruto said but was interrupted by Kiba.

"And risk ourselves to be killed by you or vice versa. Wow! Such a great choice." The Inuzaka heir said sarcastically.

"Well, I was getting to that. Since we cannot trust each other, here is the solution. Divide the whole enoturage into two groups, the sealing group and defence group.

"The sealing group will contain those who have precise chakra control and knows sealing. It will include Kakashi, Hinata Hyuga, Sakura Haruno and finally myself.

"In the meantime the defence group will contain The remaining members including Tobi. Trust me, Tobi may act like childish but you can use him as bait for the enemy. The main function of yours will be to give the sealing team some time by distracting the crystal style user and the others. But I doubt that Kabuto will go to you.

"This division has been done so as to keep check on each other. So that of one group tries to betray, the others will immediately attack. Is that ok? Any objections or questions?" Naruto asked looking around.

Finding no raising hands, he smirked under his mask and said "Great. Defence team, go to the eastern side of the lake and create a distraction. The sealing team, come with me to the western part of the lake."

A/N: And done. What do you think of the so called  'Temporary alliance' between the akatsuki's and the Konoha entourage? Pretty unexpected? Huh? It was an interesting idea which was planned by me before I even started writing the story.
